I thought he did. I don't watch him regularly, only if I think he's gonna spill tea. I don't think Josh is going to be able to live off of his YouTube earnings forever. Unless he got some bank from Colleen because of the divorce, and made investments with the money, I would think he's going to have to get a real job soon. At this rate he's going to crash and burn. Lets compare Colleen and josh for a sec, career wise. Colleen was acting, and having a hands on role in HBO, as well as vlogging and doing miranda and psychosoprano. Josh vlogs to say he's vlogging in NY, disappears for 3 days then uploads a boring "this is my hotel, here's a bread crumb on how i'm feeling" vlog, disappears again. Like pull it together dude, its a job, its a job that barely anyone else gets, and you're almost a year in and still not being consistent. Agreed. You all know how big of a Josh fan I am, and I'm pretty close to over it. |

Did he? I don't watch his stuff very often. But that ALWAYS bothered me because his opening was two greetings: "What's up, Internet? Hey, Dingleberries..." ugh I cringed every time. I thought he did. I don't watch him regularly, only if I think he's gonna spill tea. I don't think Josh is going to be able to live off of his YouTube earnings forever. Unless he got some bank from Colleen because of the divorce, and made investments with the money, I would think he's going to have to get a real job soon. I obviously don't know if it's true, but he's said before that he has enough money saved up that he'd be fine if YouTube didn't pan out. He'd be able to live off of savings until he got his footing some other way. I also think it's pretty stupid that he keeps making empty promises, but I feel like my presence online would be similar, if not worse, if I went through what he's going through. And I'm not just talking about the divorce. His fan base was mostly Colin stans and now most of them fucking hate his guts and regularly harass him online. He's constantly surrounded by reminders of Colleen, making it harder to move on. Not to mention, he put his entire identity into his relationship with her (which was unhealthy and incredibly harmful). Then of course, he was never given closure so he's having a hard time coping with the various betrayals Colleen committed without ever providing any kind of explanation and which he seemingly didn't find out about fully until later in the breakup (presumably). All I'm saying is...he's human. I don't know how he could have made you guys happy, honestly. If he didn't talk about it, you'd all be judging him for staying silent like Colleen, but when he does talk about it, he's a big baby who needs to move on. The difference between normal people and Josh is that normal people don't have their entire relationship and divorce online for everyone to speculate about (and yes, that was their fault 100%, but still). If they did, they'd probably have public breakdowns, too. I'm all for calling out people on their shit, but I for one am still giving Josh a pass right now. I think once his music videos come out and he gets that shit off his chest, we might be seeing more regular content from him. But honestly, it might be best if he just decides to try something other than YouTube or to take some time away and plan out what he really wants to do and commit to that. Edit to add: I wholeheartedly agree with everyone saying this shit wouldn't fly for a regular job. No, it wouldn't. But he doesn't have a regular job so he gets to do whatever he wants. Despite what we all think, he's got money, enough for all these trips and an LA house by himself. Fact is, if you've got the money you can be as lazy as you want. |

As an adult with a normal 9-5 job who also went through a bad breakup at one point, he needs to do his job or find a new one. No one else would get away with being so lazy at their job. No. one.
It's becoming a little insulting to those of us who have to actually work for a living.

In Jenna and Julien's podcast they talk about this dude who plays a character in pubg and jenna goes "he's kind of like the miranda sings of twitch" and julien effectively says "well no because he's one of the best players" aka unlike colleen this dude has some kind of talent  I saw that and laughed because before he said anything I knew julien would shut it down. I wonder if Coal has seen it |

Beckigreen, it was creep again. The one and only Radiohead song she knows since it garnered mainstream popularity back in the day. I remember awhile back she was listening to Talking Heads and it pissed me off. Of course..it was This Must Be The Place, one of their few feel-good, easy listenin songs. Her music genres are top 40s pop and musical theatre. Ain't no shame in it, but it does annoy me when she terribly covers music that I love. I'm a diehard Radiohead fan so it's a touchy subject for me lol. Please...just stop with your vibrato-d out rendition of creep. We get it, you're a weirdo, and you don't belong here  Agree abt josh. Nothing against him but I don't find him to be that talented musically. His voice is very one dimensional. As much as I hate on Coline, I think she has a better voice than him. Thank goodness it was Creep again, but that's still two times too many. I have a bad feeling she will try Sail to the moon brush the cobwebs out of the sky next. I don't know anything about singing, I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but her vibrato, is just, too much? Too forced? Maybe it's Both? I bet she would try to turn Once In A Lifetime into a fucking ballad. |

He asks Gigi what YouTubers she likes to watch and I thought that's when Colleen was going to be brought up but she wasn't. Very interesting 🤔🤔

The fact Jessica and Chris went to a restaurant two minutes before it closed is repulsive. It doesn't work that way. You get there so you have long enough that you can leave when they close. Of course the staff didn't act like it bothered them, they were being professional. It's what people with real jobs have to do to cater to entitled people like the Ballingers.

I'm in two minds about Josh atm. I understand that he's probably still having bad days and feeling down but he also has to be having some good days in between so why doesn't he vlog them occasionally? It surely doesn't take that much to cobble together a few minutes of something over a couple of days. He's in New York, there must be something at least half interesting happening. I can't really say that I'm fussed one way or the other because I'm not a Josh super fan but for the ones that do love him he dangles a carrot and then takes it away. Stop dangling, Josh!

I honestly think it's as simple as he's kind of depressed right now and nobody is forcing him to work so he doesn't have the energy to make himself do it. I'm not saying it's a good excuse, but not everyone has a crazy work ethic and it seems like a lot of YouTuber especially don't. When I was depressed, all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball under my covers and never leave. Even though he's doing better, I feel like this is essentially what he's doing. Alright I promise I'm done defending him now lol |

The fact that Josh is still majorly messed up a year later and is letting if affect his 'job' and is quite worrying! |

Josh knows every time he uploads a video he'll get comments from "Colleen's Cookie Monster" and "Erikleen OTP" or whatever and he can't push it aside and be distracted at work for 8 hours... by default the continued reminders of her are his work.
It's not a normal work situation and it's lucky that he's not in a normal work situation. It would be easier for him if it was.

Shit like that happens no matter where you are. But as shitty as the perspective is. They were married 1 year. There is NO way he was as blindsided as he makes out, but that doesn't matter really. he's been given a pardon for almost a whole year. At some point his fans have to say "ok buddy, it's time to pull your shit together". we'd be no better than minions if we didn't. I don't think anyone is saying he's a bad person. just in a big ol rut |

Just playing devils advocate, but why does Josh need to have a regularly scheduled cadence to his videos? I mean, I'm all for structure and I prefer to know when something is going to happen, but he just posted a video 4 days ago... there are a lot of channels that only post once a week ( granted, I know it's usually a scheduled thing, but still)
I agree that he seems to be in a rut and his channel has been all over the place but I also feel like he's been giving us content each week, it's just not on a schedule like we're all used to receiving.
I also feel like part of all the soul searching really stems from being under toeleen's thumb. I mean he rarely got to see his friends (like Charlie or Ryan) or his family because he was always doing something with toeleen or her fam or going on tour with her or waiting for her to come home.

Youtubers are so freaking indulgent. I agree with all of you about a 9/5 and how most of us would have to pull ourselves together. I had a kid when I was divorced. So, nursing my pain could only be in small doses...I had work to do.
What bothers me less than Josh's posting and lack of professional focus is his lack of Shadow focus. That dog loves him. He seems to leave Shadow with his parents or Erin or that house sitter. I'm super sensitive to my dog's feelings and I couldn't and wouldn't be leaving her so much. I think, to be honest, take away alllllllllll the other stupid stuff, and Josh is at his best when he is with his dog. You might be able to slack on YouTube, but your RESCUE dog needs you.
Not to get all hippie or flower childish (because I am) but there is intense beauty, and even healing, to have a pet who loves, needs, and depends on you so completely.
Chris and Jess. Oh, my head was popping off. Clearly, Jess cough<bitch>cough has NEVER worked in a restaurant or in retail. DON'T GO IN 2 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING AND STUFF YOUR SELFISH, INDULGENT FACES. I was so pissed. Technically, yeah, the place was still open. But, in a restaurant, some of the cleaning was probably finished. Then crabface shows up, orders something, and they have to re-wash everything.
Even in retail, 2 minutes before closing, we'd have everything spic and span, tidy, and ready to go at closing. My boyfriend and I don't even go into a restaurant if it is an hour before closing. That sounds crazy, but I worked retail and in a restaurant in high school and college.
Oh, and Jessica rubbing her fingers together implying the workers get money....ummmmm, the workers probably get minimum wage AND, at the end of their shift, they'd probably rather go home than have your $.59 tip. Chris knew they were being JERKS!!!!!!!! Jessica's the boss apparently.
Chris, maybe the next show you should PRODUCE,WRITE,DIRECT,EDIT for Netflix should be called Haters Find My Balls.

I mean, I'm all for structure and I prefer to know when something is going to happen, but he just posted a video 4 days ago... there are a lot of channels that only post once a week ( granted, I know it's usually a scheduled thing, but still) I agree that he seems to be in a rut and his channel has been all over the place but I also feel like he's been giving us content each week, it's just not on a schedule like we're all used to receiving. Finally caught the ballinger vlog. Lord I thought Chris was the insufferable one, but after seeing the end of their vlog at the restaurant, clearly jessica is the bitch here. Chris has SOME kind of awareness to other people and their lives. Did Jessica really think they were eager to take them in? That's honestly the most entitled thing I've ever heard in my life, and as someone who has worked in food service for almost every job I've had I am 100% without a doubt saying that jessica has never had to work a shitty retail job or any kind of service job in general. That was gross. Also, why donthey have 8 fucking pints of ice cream but barely any food in that fridge...? I want to make really shitty comments about Miss Hork's body and shame her to hell, especially since she takes no care of herself and keeps shoveling copious amounts of crab and ice cream into her gaping hole, but as a mother who also did not snap back after having their baby I will refrain. But FUCK she's such a pig!! What a hork.

I think Shadow is well taken care of, however you don't get a dog if you're gone more often than not. I also don't think josh has trained shadow very well, which is a little disappointing.
