Crop Toplleen and the Starving Ballinger Regime part 8

^^ honestly think they just ham it up for the camera. They reinforce how close and tightly knit they are as a fam and remind us in every vlog that they (c and j) are madly in love. It's too much, like you said. But that's their "branding," and literally all they have going for them other than being related to Coline.

Also, I think jess guilt trips him HARD when he's away, so he tries to get back asap so he doesn't have to hear her bitch about all the things that are going awry in his absence.

Just popping in, I lurk and read everything, but refuse to watch any videos to give them views (though I do have adblocker enabled? not for this site though), but I very distinctly remember in a Colleen/Josh video him saying how he dreamt about Colleen having his children and her singing in a rocking chair with their baby. No idea what video that could have been. Am I totally remembering things incorrectly? But that thought right there just makes me so, so sad. I, too, am very glad the family vlogging situation did not work out, but what a sad situation to face when you've anticipated such a bright future with another individual.

Also, for the record, every time I go on youtube I seem to randomly come across another vlogging family I've never heard of with subscribers in the hundreds of thousands with videos of really personal topics including puberty. Thinking back to myself at age 13...there is NO.WAY. I would want any part of my adolescence online for the world to see. I so hope the Ballinger family does not go that route.

Jessica doesn't seem to mind, in fact seems to need, Chris to "work" from home. I am a homebody too,and I get homesick, but I am a grown ass adult and I can go away for a bit and not lose my mind. It is sweet to miss your kids, but to count the hours when you are only gone for 1 might just seems off to me.

Some days I looked like that when my kids were babies... but I didn't film myself and if my Mum or MIL came over to be with the kids I would have jumped in the shower so fast!
Maybe she was up all night with the baby. Maybe she's so used to having Christopher home that she doesn't sleep well if he's gone overnight. (I actually have a hard time falling asleep when my husband is not home for a night)

I must admit my first thought when the kids were so excited to be going to Grandma's is that they will at least get fed there. Except poor Jacob who had to stay home.

Also I admit I am a mean person who snickered because Duncan smiled at Gwen and then immediately gave Jessica and the camera a dirty look.  

From Snapchat it looks like Jessica and the kids are over at Colleen's. Probably Chris, too although I didn't see him.

YES!! And, part of that guilt must be looking her most frazzled...hair/makeup. If I were Colleen, I'd be beside myself with Chris. I can't stand her, but she NEEDS HIS HELP. Chris' stupid M&M explanation clearly shows he needs to be there.

Hi Meg91. That sounds familiar to me too...the rocking chair dream of Josh's. I see a lot of family vloggers too and 99% of them creep me out. I hated Jersey Shore pretty much, but I LOVE Snookie and JWow's YT videos. They seem like real moms and their kids are sometimes out of control and they just deal.

BTW, Divorce Gwen is looking really great these days. Because of her bangs, I can't see her eyebrows...my Ballinger measure of beauty, of course.

Oh, I absolutely looked like that and loved it!  But, something else seems off with her.  I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe she is just tired.


Don't get me wrong, I love people who are cool with no makeup.  But, knowing she is going to be filming herself because Chris is gone..and this is their job, throwing on some blush from one of her 10,000 kits would have taken 15  seconds. Maybe her shorter hair is harder to throw up in a ponytail if she doesn't have time to do it.

Yeah I remember him talking about that dream too! It is really sad..and I am sure he'll find a girl soon! Also I think I know EXACTLY what family vloging channel you're talking about too. All the comments on that vid were saying how embarrassing it must be for that girl when she's older to have that information out there and I agree. That stuff is so personal you don't just put that on the internet...oy! 😓

There are a lot of family vloggers trying to get in before the fad dies. It must be expensive and exhausting always trying to be fun! Also smash and I don't make money from this site so please don't subject yourself to annoying ads if you don't have to I Don't!

Also to touch on lurkers question about colleen!

I'm very much a "You made your bed, you lay in it" kind of person. So I in no way care about her being sad or lonely considering the path of destruction behind her. Shes caused pain for not only josh, but his friends and family who have probably seen this super happy dude turn sad and jaded over it.

What I do feel empathy for her family situation. I include kory in thst too. Intentional or not, everybody wants a piece of her. I think they are pushy about it too and don't have her best interests at heart. Also despite running the site it must be shitty having people have a site to discussing how bad of a person you are.

Shes still a shit person and I'll continue to think so until she owns whst she did to Josh

Stop freaking copying Casey, Chris!! Casey's videos do not go viral because of the editing. It is the content! Even if Casey shoots and edits for you, if your content is you being an ahole to your kids, even Casey can't make that work.

It bugs me so much whenever Coline and Christopher talk about editing. They speak as though they are singlehandedly editing the show, like they're the masterminds. Come the fuck on...

They're not behind the computer editing like the one guy with the cute puppy is - the real show editor. They are ALWAYS just chilling on the couch dicking around. It's totally disrespectful to the actual editor who has to stare at her annoying mug on the computer screen for 12 hours a day. They are just wasting space and oxygen in that editing room bc they're control freaks and probably wanna "sign off" on all the decisions the editor makes.

Hmm, so Colleen IS actually spending time with family. I guess that shuts me up. Probably getting it out of the way so she can spend two weeks in Pound Town

I can't find their original post (I mean I could but I'm lazy) but I'm on lurker's side. I like to talk shit about Colleen but I do feel sympathy for her. She's a very flawed human being, yes, but she's still a human being. It seems like her life's kind of out of control and I'm hoping she can get it together.
I'm also on Team Maybe Colleen Didn't Cheat, so maybe that explains things. Not saying there's no chance in Hell, but I have no definitive proof so I can't hate someone for something that they only maybe did.

Just saw a notification from twitter (rumors of course) that Netflix is 20 billion dollars in debt. And one headline is saying they'll have to cancel some original shows just to keep afloat. This made me curious, do you on this board believe Colleen's HBO will be on the chopping block?

Again I know they are just rumors right now and it's from the LA Times but I find it interesting because I had a discussion with someone last week how Netflix would make way more money if they forced each person to pay their own subscription and not just allow profiles so multiple people can get access on one account.

About family bloggers…have y'all seen those people called "Family Fizz?" They keep posting vids like "First Period! First Armpit Hair! First Boyfriend!" And it's very cringe when you think about it, but I overlooked it for a long time because they were such an attractive, confident, joyful family. I'm just now realizing after all this Ballinger discussion that the girls might look back and regret sharing all that publicly to the world

I agree I don't think they'll change that model. If they do I know groups of people who'll stop watching. The IP address is an interesting idea. This latest thing doesn't seem like it bodes well for Colleen though 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think it's mostly gonna be the really big budget shows that are gonna get axed. HBO looks like it costs peanuts to make. Ironically (if it doesn't get cancelled) the general shittiness might save it. That and minions. Lots and lots of minions.

I like reading both sides of the cheating theory. If she did cheat, I'll bet Josh has proof... like texts or phone records etc.

But, cheating aside, death threats aside, she said in her divorce video that Josh was a great guy that she still loved. So, even the harassment of Josh by her minions she could control if she wanted. Because her fannys aren't normal and they would listen to her if she told them to stop it. She might not have sent them, but she could at least try to stop it.

Sometimes I feel guilty speculating about J&C. But, I guess they can't have it both ways... want people to be interested in their lives for $$$$ but not have us gossip and be curious.

Tusk made a good point. A negative gossip site about you must really suck. I would last 2 hours in any kind of spotlight. One negative comment and I'd crumble like a rag doll.

I agree!! I've been noticing that Rachel is sounding more and more like Colleen, but in those snaps, I had no idea who was talking.

Thread suggestion: it's all for Showleen and chris is getting kinda mean.

My husband and I are starting to build an okay following on our social media documenting the things we love and we briefly considered being family vloggers but we noped out of that pretty quick. The scrutiny is one thing but we don't want to become what so many of these families have, and we want to make sure our son has privacy.
