so I found this...it was recorded in 2009 and She put it on SoundCloud: (she sounds much better here than she does today)
She does sound kinda nasally and it is a little shout-y but it's not like...horrible I think.

She sounds like she could do voices for a Barbie movie. Does anyone know if it's auto tuned/edited whatever or not? If not, well then her voice has massively declined. She never had a pop voice though and never will |

Agreed definitely not her best performance HOWEVER I would rather listen to this than the stuff she puts in her vlogs today. And I don't know if it's edited or not. Some fan just made it and put it on YouTube and the description said colleen recorded it and then put it on SoundCloud.

Speaking of Muppets, for anyone who braves the Chris Ballinger videos, notice how many times he reacts to his kids doing something *normal but made to be amazing* with a Kermit or Fozzie sounding "whoaaaaaa." I can't unhear it now.

She never had a pop voice though and never will She has (sorry, HAD) a musical theatre voice, and that's what she should have stuck with and pursued as a career path. Now she's in her early thirties, any vocal talent she once had is gone now, and she's clinging for dear life to a dead end character that is ruining her voice and her face (and eventually her career since there will be nothing left of her once Miranda is over). She really screwed herself by not keeping up with her training and networking to form connections in the theatrical world. Since she loves touring so much, she should've concentrated on joining one of those traveling Broadway shows. But by the time she lets go of her death grip on Miranda, she'll just be a washed up former YouTube "star" and no one will want her in their productions. Very sad. She didn't think this all through. |

Kinda reminds me of busch garden singers. Exactly. She has (had) a decent musical theatre voice. However there doesn't seem to be any nuance in that voice. When she's loud she's loud, when she's soft she's soft but I've not heard her sing somewhere in the middle. I just think that her voice would never make me feel something, like it would have to do if she was singing an emotional song. But High School Musical and even some of the shouty numbers from Rent would be fine for her. But then again there are better belters than her out there. Really Miranda is perfect for her career. And while we do mock her for it she is sitting pretty on a ton of cash I'm sure so I bet she doesn't feel too bad!  But when Miranda and YouTube stops for her it's going to be a long retirement without something to fill the void. |

I can't believe how I used to adore her. How much money do you think Chris makes in his executive producer role? They seem so incredibly desperate for YouTube fame, with their posting seven days a week now (I think; six at the very least) and changing titles to be more clickbait-y, etc. so it makes me wonder how they are doing financially. I guess they need it to pay off that house, and I can understand that they didn't want to be renting anymore. But is it really worth messing up your kids' lives, especially when you have another source of income?

He was doing a show (?) with Heather. Josh still follows him, so maybe he is cool. I think his voice made Screechleen's sound better in that song. |
