I was going to say in the last thread, it would make sense that if she had been mildly talking crap about Josh, she really amped it up if she cheated (although at this point it's more of a "when"). Like damage control before anything got out. Maybe she thought Josh's reputation could take the hit but hers couldn't. That's if she thought about Josh at all and not just about herself.

I was watching Coal's 2015 "Reading Mean Comments" video and she looked and sounded very sweet. Likable even?
Just her face, she looked pretty and gentle. And she looked clean and fresh. 




Then in the related videos I saw that she did a 2016 version too and she just LOOKED different. Her face is so much harsher, her voice is terrible.Obviously we all know she changed around this time period and became the witch she is now, but to see her do two videos that are almost the same and the difference in just ONE year is astounding. It's like I can just FEEL her bitchiness in the second video.

Does anyone know when collie stopped wearing her wedding band? I know she didn't wear it for very long... Made some baloney excuse that she liked just the engagement ring alone..but I just cant remember when she completely stopped wearing the band.
Also.. Iirc.. She changed her social media name to ballinger-evans (or was it just evans?) for a hot second. I recall when she changed everything back to just a form of colleen... Saying she didn't want to confuse people or some such nonsense. I could see not changing her name professionally to begin with..but since she did, only to change it again..the timing on that may be interesting. In retrospect, you can see all the little things she was doing that were flat out preparing for divorce.

REACH WARNING: I've said this before and everytime I know it sounds reachy BUT I look back at some of her old videos (from like 2012/13) and she seems like she's always been like that. EDIT: Thought about it and I could totally see it being an act. When Shane called her the most shadiest person everyone was like "wow! Hahaha well you know colleen the queent" and kinda laughed it off. She has this good girl act thing going because if something does come out about her that is remotely negative the minions use that good girl image and attack whoever said it. They will justify it using all the "good" things she's done and her catchphrase.

Moral of the story: She has this good girl image to save her butt if something bad comes out about her....also minions 😇

I can kind of see that too. She IS an actress, so maybe after making videos more often and daily vlogging, she had to start letting her mask slip off because it was too exhausting to keep up the charade.
At least back then it came off as more awkward or quirky, and not the blatant disrespect she likes to put on these days.

Also, on Josh's channel back around 2012 there are videos with Rachel and she's QUIET and she was also much more delicate and pretty looking. What happened in the last few years that turned her into a raging psychopath who has to shout every syllable? 
It's so strange to watch their old stuff. The Ballinger's are so different, but Josh is still EXACTLY the same. It shows who is genuine and who puts on an act, for sure.

I don't think that's reaching at all.  I mean - she's definitely changed visibly and in attitude over time in videos, but I truly believe she's always been a wretched, manipulative, narcissistic witch off camera - she just put on a show because she wanted people (and Josh) to like her.  But honestly - the character that made her "famous" was created to make fun of people that she didn't like.

"OH I wish my whole family could be here" Like no Colleen and co of course the kids can't cause TECHNICALLY Chris and Jess are the YouTubers. And rememberrrr they were real damn close to NOT being featured. I found it astonishing how little she did or the attention she got. Seems so little when you look at Liza and Gabbie and Logan (which by the way Logan wasn't even featured this year and I think got banned for life😂) so that tells you a lot. IMO it shows she's fading and people are starting to lose interest (and yeah she still gets big crowds at the stage and Q &a A. that's a given, just the way not as many people bombarded her like in years past I felt was telling.

It's also funny to me how Coal claims she keeps her personal life private because she only wants to show and spread happiness and positivity. Yet she hops onto the Miranda channel and does nothing but bash others, call any girl other than herself ugly, and spreads negativity.

This may be a reach, but I wonder if that's why Miranda went from a "mean girl" who can't sing but speak normally, to a borderline mentally handicapped and developmentally stunted girl. She can't keep preaching that she only wants to fart sunshine and rainbows, and demand that her followers be nice to people AND keep the mean girl Miranda character afloat. Again, maybe that's a bit of a stretch and maybe she just genuinely ran out of steam for Miranda and does the bare minimum to keep the character going.

She was made famous because of a handful of giggle-inducing viral videos back in the day. That train seems to be running out of steam quick, and she'll be left with no career path because she's got no real talent and has burned all her bridges. Whatever singing voice she used to have is shot now, and her face is leathery and wrinkled from years of not caring for her skin and scrunching her face up as Miranda and harshly scrubbing her makeup and lipstick off.



A small part of me will pity her once her options have dried up. But then I remember she did this to herself and stepped on everyone that tried to help her along the way.

I watched that video someone (sorry) posted from VidCon last year when Netflix was gushing for Miranda. With allllllllll the world problems, her keeping secrets about Haters Back Off from fans like they were the nuclear codes was SO annoying in her vlogs last year. "I'm introducing miranda's uncle for the first time here at VidCon and I am SOOOOOO excited".  <yawn> Also, that daddy saddle.  Ummmm, no.

I think there is definitely a switch in power. "Old" YouTubers such as Colleen, Holy Trinity and Glozell aren't getting the viewing numbers as the new(er) YouTubers are like Liza, Dobrik, etc. I think their 15 mins is up. Colleen better have a back up plan if HBO gets cancelled.

I remember her talking in vlogs when she didn't know if there would be a season 2 saying that of course she would be upset if there was no season 2 but she said if there wasn't she could move on to her next project. 🤔 What else could she be doing tho? 

Phew! It's taken a while to catch up as I was away on vacation last week and *boom* there's a whole 40 page thread to catch up on!!

Anyway, what's interesting to me, the more I think about it, is how she relies so heavily on this one character. She may be an "actress" but she certainly doesn't show it! If things are starting to stall with Miranda, why wouldn't she look into other acting opportunities? She does technically have her foot in the door now with HBO. But maybe she doesn't know how to act any other way?

Guys, I haven’t commented in a while! Here are my thoughts, brace yourself it’s gonna be a long one *cracks knuckles*

- I totally appreciate Josh lashing out in the comment section! If he did it in a video he’d receive so much hate he would have to quit youtube and hide in a hole. Replying to hate comments and giving written statements of what actually happened is the only way he has to stand up for himself without getting submerged with abuse as he did for that video where he said that – GASP – Coline never treated him as a priority (uhm, duh) and that – GASP – in his next relationship he will look for someone who wants the same things as he wants out of a relationship. If he got DEATH THREATS for saying something as sacrosanct as don’t commit to marriage if you’re just gonna treat your spouse like a chore you need to fit in your schedule, then go figure what the reaction would be if Josh made a video about everything horrible Cal has done that she managed to hide from those abusive brainwashed idiots she is omg best friends with.

- Speaking of death threats, I find it horrible how she didn’t say anything about Josh being abused online, but took the time to write a statement about being nice among the fandom. A bunch of kids fighting about who is best at crawling into her asshole is more important than the hurting, humiliated ex life partner you dumped in the trash can as soon as you could make up an excuse for it. Coal – you nasty.

- Some might not be with me on this one, but I do think they were in love the first few years. In the early vlogs that were watched by just a few thousand people and when they still had a small following, she was genuinely so sweet to him, and kind, and she complimented him, and did nice things for him. I think it all went downhill, slowly but steadily, when they started to broadcast their relationship at a granular level, giving themselves next to none of the privacy a couple needs in order to keep the spontaneity going. If you’re filming every day and your money depends on it, you better perform for that camera, you better be cute, you better put your mask on and BE FUCKING ADORABLE AHAHA, insert Tom Cruise crazy laugh. That must be exhausting and after a while you don’t know when the show ends and real life begins. But I understand how Joshua hoped until the very end to be able to steer that trainwreck of a person to what she was when her fame didn’t change into an insensitive, narcissistic asshole. He still had that idea of her in mind and probably kept saying to himself that if they were able to be happy 7 years ago, then there would be a slight change to get back to that place somehow. People change, and when they’re changed by fame and money, they rarely change back. Add some drugs to how Coal is now, and there you have Trisha Paytas. Which is not an insult because Coal loves her omg so much!!!! Girls night out as soon as she’s back in Cali, guuurrrllll!!

- Another thing that is super clear to see is how dearly Coal cares about what other people think of her, despite everything she says in her videos about self love etc. She totally hangs dearly on to her internet fame and couldn’t feel better about being Kween Koleen the Kweent. She wouldn’t even admit this to herself, and I do think she genuinely thinks she’s done nothing wrong because that’s how narcissistic personality works, but she kept being with Josh because it was the right thing to do in order to keep her social media status. Sure, she must have cared about him to some extent, but as a married woman who went through so much (good and bad) with my own marriage and relationship (including a break up before getting engaged), that is not how a wife in love behaves. She can say all she wants about how you don’t know what goes on behind closed doors and all that, but facts are facts. We can see her attitude during the honeymoon and in every single vlog before they broke up, where everybody agrees she was just checked out, but the ultimate proof that the only thing in that woman’s head is $$$ and career, is how she behaved AFTER the break up. The divorce wasn’t the wrong thing to do if that’s how she felt – better than dragging the thing even more than what she had already dragged – but the faking that everything was just marvellous, SO PERFECT EVERYTHING IS GREAT EVERYTHING IS FANTASTIC I’M THE HAPPIES PERSON IN THE WORLD!!!!!! That is just the first page in the sociopath’s manual book. It is disrespectful, horrible behaviour, ESPECIALLY if the person you care SO DEEPLY about is this close to being clinically depressed because you destroyed his life. Twice. And even if happiness itself did throw up all over her and her gay best friends, shoving it in your ex’s throat just shows the emotional detachment of a Barbie doll. Actually I think Barbie has more empathy.

- Whatever happened at playlist must have been the last straw of a series of horrible snide little things that had been accumulating over the last couple years at least. Things like marriage crises or divorces don’t happen overnight or in single episodes – there are a lot of smaller day-to-day behaviours, words said or half said, side remarks, fights, hung up phone conversations etc that deteriorate the relationship, and the only way to get over a crisis is to be both invested in the relationship. It’s obvious that Coal was 150% invested in her career and could fit Josh in her life only if she could schedule him inbetween those idiotic redundant tours, or during the Netflix project. She just did not want to give anything up for him, and let’s be honest, the world would not have crumbled if she cut back posting videos once or twice a week, while she took her time to recover from Canada and saving the marriage with the man she was supposed to love. She must have started not to respect him because he was not achieving as much as she did, and she probably started having crushes on other people as a reaction of her not appreciating Josh anymore and giving him for granted. I don’t think Josh ever wanted her not to have success – actually he had been very supportive the entire time, but if you are someone’s spouse, you do want the love of your life to fight for you. She just did not. She must have grown more and more resentful for him ‘nagging’ her to give him some time to reconnect, leading her to lash out to some people on how things were not going well between them because she was successful and he wasn’t. He must have known this through someone or by reading some of the texts, which lead to a big fight where he stood his ground and finally told her everything he had been feeling for months including suspicions of flirting with other dudes, which lead to Collie not being able to handle it, which lead to divorce and ‘I just can’t make him happy’. Thing is, you could have made him happy, but you just loved your career much more than you loved Josh.


- Her entire family are criminals. Don’t get me started on bringing that poor baby to Vidcon, they are fucking monsters for putting him through that huge risk. But I think what bothers me most is the fact that this child’s entire life will be broadcast to the world. Without him even getting a say in it, he will never have any of the freedom anonymity gives you, and he will never get the chance to choose that for himself. He must just hope that his parent’s yourube channel fails and that they’ll stop making him and his siblings perform for those thumbs up that they sooo desperately need, like street beggars. I find this disgusting. Those children will have huge complexes and will never know what it feels like to be a normal person in society. If growing up I knoew my entire life would just be out there, with no intimacy and no privacy, I would be furious at my parents, I would be so resentful for oversharing so much about my life and my intimate day to day life with a bunch of strangers, including potential pedophiles. Did you know that fucking pedophiles could be jerking off at your kids right this moment, you assholes? The Ballingers are crimials.

It might be hard for her because she probably will be typecasted. It would be different if she came out as an actress and then did Miranda but I think because of HBO, she will always be Miranda. I'm trying to find another example of this but I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Just look at the space between him and Rachel and the space between him and Colleen. They're also sitting across from the other couple, Chris and Jessica. Also notice how quickly Rebecca gets out of shot and how gloomy and not features Josh was. Says a lot imo.

I also just wanna add that's it's seriously annoying she keeps claiming these characters have been in her head for 7 years. No they haven't. You made Miranda up to make fun of people, you created her over time, then decided to profit further via a book and tv show in which you needed to expand on her character more than usual. They've existed since you started writing a pilot and that's it. Get over yourself. We all know you're no creative genius.

This bugs me too. She wants to make herself feel brilliant and she wants ALL the credit for HBO. "These characters have lived in MY head and it's MY world and MY show and MY cast". I forgot that producing a television series is totally a one-woman show. There were no screenplay writers or editors or directors, no one else was involved in the production. Queent Colin is responsible for everything and everyone ran to her for approval because she's a television expert (which is fine because it's all garbage anyway so if I were involved I'd let her take all the credit.)

So according to her vlog Steve little was suposed to come to her Anaheim show and he "bailed last minute" and I wanna point out how she stoped recording after the show because she was "having so much fun talking and meeting her fans for like 2 hours". ..... she recorded the morning after the show...and she had a bottle of champagne in her dressing room freezer....and Erik was at her show...and she was back at her house in California....do I have to do the math

I agree with everything you said, idon't.

I think they were in love early on too. I could see Josh being difficult early in their relationship. I think he was probably really needy and protective. He admits he was conservative because of his upbringing. But,they were probably equals professionally. Then, when Miranda took off, Josh was left in the dust.

Maybe the breakdown started with that stupid book, Selp Crap. At the same time she was doing the book, Josh was stinking up the place with that What's Up Internet. I never thought that was the right outlet for Josh's talent. Anyway, her star was rising and his was failing.

I loved my immediate family, but when I got married, my husband was my #1. I'm not sure Josh could compete with all of Colleen's "best friends" and family. He tried though.Colleen really didn't NEED HIM because she has so many other stage 5 clingers.

I think Colleen got too big for her britches and decided Josh was small potatoes. He is a sweet potato though and he will find someone who feels lucky to have him.

Exactly!  She didn't have Patrick or the sister in her head at all.  I believe I saw a vlog of hers before she moved to Canada where she says that Patrick and "another character" were the hardest to cast because they were kind of spun up for the show so it was hard to really get a grasp of what they were looking for.  But then, in the video on psycho where the cast was watching their casting videos - she said Erik was the first one cast because they just KNEW he was "Patrick".  She's so full of shit.
