Oh totally this.  The egos over there are SO huge, there is no way they were gonna face the fact that they had destroyed the thread. It became a totalitarian state, kow tow or we will banish you and shut you down.

The Fleur de force thread over there barely moves for weeks sometimes and that had never been locked.

Just wanna to say in relation to this thank you to everyone who has joined and is participating, but I do want to point out that none of us were trying to beat the mods on the bakery. We simply just wanted to provide a place for those who felt constricted to know that they don't have to always worry about getting in trouble for posting something. 

But again thank you guys so much! We hope this forum continues to grow in the future!

Have y'all noticed it's not just the Colleen thread that's died. A lot of the threads I used to read have been dwindling. I'll still go back there to read about some threads we don't have here and they haven't had updates in days.

I really only participated in the colleen thread and the ones I made and housewives . I noticed only Jen and marnie and the bag people are really popular. I think those parts are pretty tight knit like ours. I think it was in the marnie thread where they found gb and called out some users specifically.

If we 'don't matter' and don't affect them, why are they going to the trouble at all to manipulate the last posts on a thread they closed?

I think a lot of their 'members' are ghost accounts or duplicates of one person.
I clicked on a lot of members 'online' last night.
Most of them have been members for 8-10 months, with few to no posts.
That's strange.
Why do you join a site when it starts, be online, but not comment?

I noticed the Colleen thread was closed (but I hadn't read everything in the Venting thread here to know all the drama that had gone down and caused them to close it) so I asked why it had been closed. I guess that made them defensive and they decided to make the reason the Colleen thread was closed more clear.

I know that's how I was towards the end of things over there because I was afraid to say something someone didn't like or start drama somehow but I still wanted to read what people were saying.

You are so correct in this observation. Funny thing is, I didn't realize it when everyone else was.  I even tried to defend the synonym.  I was dead wrong in doing that now looking back.
