Did anyone else notice right after Crabica snapped at Bailey to "shut it down" she goes "that was my...." (it seems like she was gonna be like that was what i wanted)? I could picture her taking that from Bailey after because those pieces were too good or some shit like that. Greedy little Jessica showing her true colours by literally stealing her kids food for her self. I bet Bailey got in trouble later for it What kind of person takes crab eating tools with them anyway? Fuckin slothica, that's who It's no surprise how she put on those extra pounds the last few years, the way she gorges herself. So gross... In my experience, moms usually share their food with the kiddos, they don't take it from them. What an asshole.

This is OT to the above quote, but related to the Ballinger food stuff in general: Have they explained why the kids can't have sugar? I think giving kids home-cooked foods rather than processed foods as the majority of their diet is not a bad idea, but that seems like that's not even the case. And why do Chris and Jessica not lead by example? With the diet stuff, and actually, their policy on TV watching, it seems like they take generally good parenting techniques and take it to the extreme, while not even enforcing it themselves. If YT folks can control the narrative of how they portray themselves, why do they do no work to make Jessica look like a less selfish mom? She doesn't seem to ever play with them, cook for them, etc. There are plenty of ways to be a good mom, but I just don't see her interact positively with PB & J much at all.

Because their demographic isnt adults, it's 10-16 year olds who would never notice that kind of thing. Jessica seems to have a superficial relationship with her kids. Even with Chris. I think she's very much "me me me". Everything is ok if things are going her way, but i bet shes insufferable when they don't.

Okay I don't usually watch Jess and Chris's vlogs but the crab thing got me curious. Honestly Bailey did not take that much crab to warrant that reactor from Jess, I bet you Jess made a big deal about wanting the biggest pieces and Bailey get there first. Jess was def jealous that she, The Crab Queen, didn't get to pick out the biggest pieces first. Jess everyone knows you would've eaten the most anyway, why the fuck does it matter if Bailey takes two pieces? Let her live woman!

I still don't understand why kids are watching family vloggers, aside from any association to Colleen (or the main YT-er in question). So, I guess, I forget exactly your point--that the level of criticism we provide here largely goes over any young viewer's head.

I wanted to reach right thru my screen and slap the taste right out of crabqueefs mouth!!!! Who the frick tells their own kid to "shut it down" because of 2 damn pieces of crab. In my world (and all normal people's worlds) the mothers would eat dirt if it meant their child got their fill of actual food first. What a selfish see you next tuesday!! Lump could stand to shut it down, not her growing kids. The anti-chris seemed to get far too much glee over Jacob's bellyflop. He looked like a little girl squealing over a new Barbie. Maybe it's just me, but Id be telling my kids NOT to belly flop since it can potentially hurt and even knock the breath out of someone.. Cannonballs are more fun and don't hurt..but I guess they don't amuse sadist poppas like the anti- Chris.

Maybe they overreacted because this was all the crab meat they had for all the Bollingers, including Kory. Maybe it's the Latina in me, but what's with these people and the stingy amounts of food? There's 7 maybe 8 adults and three kids. Baileys pieces were a big chunk, but they shouldn't have been, especially for someone with as much money as Colleen.

I don't think they have explained it. It really infuriates me that they not lead by example because, from the times I've seen, they eat the treats in front of the kids, and then the kids have to ask to try. There was a chocolate or something that was sent for Chris, and the kids had to ask to try. I wanna slap the parents for this. Even the TV watching. They know about shows like Dexter and Stranger Things and such, but the kids aren't allowed?? Aaarrrggghhh!!!

To be fair, many people see see an expensive delicacy like crab as something that you only take a little of. There was actually some other food this time. But the kids should have been served by the parents, not yelled at. Jessica's reaction reminded me of the way my siblings used to fight over pop tarts smh.

Completely random, but I was on youtube and this vid was on the recommended sidebar, so I clicked it...but if you start at 9:11 she mentions that that little trip she had taken was the longest they had been away from each other since they had been married, and she's still very obviously happily married, it's weird to see and think that 6 months later she's all resentful toward Josh, and so completely fine with being away from him. Also, the part at the end with Josh (dorky glasses and all, hahaha!) and when Josh was saying those sweet, corny (but cute corny) things to her. It's just like...wow, how did she let that go. WHY did she let that go? No other dude will cherish her like that.

Except crab queen, I'm sure she strictly filled her plate with crab only, since she's told us so many times she doesn't eat regular meat. Or any other seafood it seems.

Can you blame Bailey for going for crab, though? Her mum talks about it so much and it's special for her mum. It looks like Bailey looks up to her. Why wouldn't she want to eat what her mum wants?
And the kids never get their fill, it seems. They seem to be better fed when other people are catering for them - being babysat or eating out. The kids, not the parents, eat healthy, just not enough quantity.
You guys are right, when they get even just a little independence from their parents, as what we have seen with Bailey here, they will rebel. They know treats are good to eat since the parents do. Hopefully, they don't develop any disorders because of this. Because Lord knows, they already have enough to deal with in their life, with parents and relatives like that. And they will not be able to relate well with their peers when they grow up since their parents are restrictive about TV and such.

She wasn't filling her plate, she wasn't being greedy, she grabbed 2 legs. That's nothing! On top of that, Bailey has possibly the most shitty bland diet on earth. Her parents don't even shop for her "gluten free" diet properly, so crabs are literally a luxury to her, Jess had no real right or reason to limit Bailey like that. This attitude is going to create SO much discourse when Bailey is old enough to realize her parents don't own her.

I'm wondering if it's a reflection of their diets when they were younger. All the Ballinger adults (?) have referred to how they ate nothing but fast food when they were kids, and maybe Chris doesn't want his kids to go down the same route. But at the same time, he never learnt what a balanced diet is for kids because he never had one himself. Colleen's relationship with food affected as well, obvious by her disordered eating (which she almost promotes to her young minions). The fact that Colleen thinks she's gaining weight when she is actually getting thinner tells you about what she sees in the mirror...
ps. i'm off sick with a chest infection so you may see me lingering today...

I hope you feel better soon, CatSheldon.
Loving the crab discussion. Why would they even leave that comment in??
In that vlog, Chris and Jess have to mention how much FOOD their kids have THREE times.... first, Bailey with the tangerines, then Parker with the big watermelon, then Bailey with the crab legs. FEED YOUR KIDS MORE and they won't gorge!
The only food Crabcakes isn't stingy with is her breast milk.

The crab thing really bothered me too. I have kids with eyes bigger than their stomachs sometimes-but if we're at a family thing and I'm worried about there not being enough I make their plate for them. You know like a parent would. 🙄I am incredibly careful about what I say to them in response to eating because I don't want to shatter their self image. The ballingers are trash. Also someone actually made a daddy saddle. www.facebook.com/EveryMomInTheKnowbyAOL/videos/845887375567045/

I think Erik came into the picture and I think Colleen resented making more $ in the marriage. That piece of crap show wasn't worth it, in my opinion, because she sure seems miserable now.

Also since Ad revenue is down so much, per 1 million views youtubers are only making ROUGHLY around $400 now. She cant even reach 1m per video lol? Edit: nvm her mirandasings channel still gets decent views. Havent been on that channel in months, i see its still just her sitting there mispronouncing words and shoving the camera in her mouth while creating more wrinkles on her face, nice!

To be fair, I would have an issue with my husband if I am striving to give us a better life and career, and I see him unmotivated, but spends money on Starbucks everyday, and hightops and stuff.
Granted, Josh could have been in a creative slump there. But that was Colleen's fault, too. She made a big deal of asking Josh to pick between her or his career. So now, Josh was so insecure to make a big move that will upset his queen (and I am not being sarcastic about C being J's queen. He was head over heels for her).
The thing is, for me, I would have communicated this. I would have wanted to work on it with the man I choose to share lives with. She was supporting him by "pushing" him to do his solo tour. But by that time, I think she has already given up on him. I don't think Joshr responds to that kind of motivation anyway because it kinda squashes the ego.
She just gave up on Josh because suddenly she was too good for him because she has all these accolades that Josh didn't.

Wow, that's really sad if those are accurate numbers. And she's been really frivolous with money lately which seems like a very poor choice. I wish I knew how much she got for HBO, but with her expensive ass mortgage, upkeep of her pool, electric bill to keep her house freezing cold, and all of the unnecessary big purchases she's made lately I hope she's saved up a good chunk of money. HBO was the big finale of Miranda, if it gets the axe there's no where else for that character to go. People will probably begin expecting her Miranda channel to turn into HBO. This is a random thought but I wonder how many times during their Joshleen tour they had spent the day arguing and then had to go out on stage and act lovey-dovey and sing love song duets.

Sadly, once Colleen's career took off (however temporarily) she probably saw Josh's stuff as small potatoes.
That's why I still say he should have gone with her to Canada. If they didn't WANT to be together there, something was already wrong. Colleen clearly needs someone by her side, and it wasn't Josh. They didn't have kids in school, he could have gone. I would have wanted my (ex) husband by my side. Colleen could have even had Josh co- something on that show.
Colleen seemed to lose respect for Josh pretty quickly during that time.... for things that are probably only temporary.

I could definitely see Colleen counting her chickens before they hatched and kicking Josh to the curb thinking HBO would be a huge hit and her and Erik would be a super hot powercouple, and now she's like "Fuuuuuu...." Edit: Chickens, not kitchens. I haven't had my coffee yet😐

Josh had booked that tour though, which I'm pretty sure was while she was in Canada. She did not seem to want him there at all. I understand that she was doing a job (especially at first during filming) and didn't have a ton of down time. However, she has proven that she can pop back and forth, and I think she could have encouraged him to pop up more once his tour was over.
Yeah she went to Canada around April 10 and he was on tour April 16 - May 25. When she finally came back, she left on her tour as soon as the Netflix stuff was done (August)
She dumped him in September.

Edit: Chickens, not kitchens. I haven't had my coffee yet😐 You know, I can't seem to figure out what the hell it is that Colleen wants. She had it all! A loving husband who actually cared for her well being more than money or status. A supportive family who cater to her every beck and call. The worlds sweetest and cutest in-laws. A Netflix show based on her character that she had the opportunity to have a say in how the show was written and produced. A giant house. All the money she could ever need. A squeaky clean internet image and relationship "goals". So she got sick of that life and dumped it all for a second season of this show and freedom to date her co-star or whoever else she wants and be vulgar and as rude and nasty as she pleases. And she is STILL. FREAKING. MISERABLE. Colleen, what do you want?! You've had both worlds, and neither made you happy. Girl has an enormous void somewhere deep inside her that nothing will ever fill.

She just gave up on Josh because suddenly she was too good for him because she has all these accolades that Josh didn't. I think Toeleen loved that her channel was more "successful" than his and that she was the breadwinner. I think she just liked to throw that in his face or hold that over his head (because she's a control freak) - which is why we saw things like that shitty tweet, etc. She wanted Josh around to help boost her views and her channels with the "Joshleen" persona which (I feel like) is part of the reason she held him back from doing the things he seemingly loves to do like singing/acting. The only reason she probably supported the solo tour was because it gave her a guilt-free excuse as to why she moved to Canada without him (and maybe also ensured that he wouldn't be able to move with her) I guess I never really saw Josh as unmotivated, I think that maybe he wanted/wants to have a career in the entertainment industry outside of YT, which takes time to break into. And to your point, he was probably so afraid he'd lose her if he did make a big move and upset the queen. I also wouldn't be surprised if he did a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff for the Toe and her channels, which in my opinion would make that his money too.
