I could definitely see Colleen counting her chickens before they hatched and kicking Josh to the curb thinking HBO would be a huge hit and her and Erik would be a super hot powercouple, and now she's like "Fuuuuuu...." Edit: Chickens, not kitchens. I haven't had my coffee yet😐 You know, I can't seem to figure out what the hell it is that Colleen wants. She had it all! A loving husband who actually cared for her well being more than money or status. A supportive family who cater to her every beck and call. The worlds sweetest and cutest in-laws. A Netflix show based on her character that she had the opportunity to have a say in how the show was written and produced. A giant house. All the money she could ever need. A squeaky clean internet image and relationship "goals". So she got sick of that life and dumped it all for a second season of this show and freedom to date her co-star or whoever else she wants and be vulgar and as rude and nasty as she pleases. And she is STILL. FREAKING. MISERABLE. Colleen, what do you want?! You've had both worlds, and neither made you happy. Girl has an enormous void somewhere deep inside her that nothing will ever fill. THIS!! I don't think she's capable of being happy. |

I guess I never really saw Josh as unmotivated, I think that maybe he wanted/wants to have a career in the entertainment industry outside of YT, which takes time to break into. And to your point, he was probably so afraid he'd lose her if he did make a big move and upset the queen. I also wouldn't be surprised if he did a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff for the Toe and her channels, which in my opinion would make that his money too. Okay, to be fair, I might have used the wrong word, "unmotivated". I agree, Josh was not like that.It was more he didn't have any follow-through? He has all these ideas but, for a reason or another, he just does a couple of videos and it ends there. My apologies, English is my second language. |

****Yeah she went to Canada around April 10 and he was on tour April 16 - May 25. When she finally came back, she left on her tour as soon as the Netflix stuff was done (August) She dumped him in September.*** Oh wow. Yeah, that timeline is tricky. Well, Josh could have/should have gone to Canada at the end of his tour. Maybe that was when he went there and basically chased her for a kiss while she was taking a million and one selfies. Could she really have thrown away her life after a month being away from Josh? Was the Erik chemistry SOOOO intense that it ended her marriage so suddenly. She kept saying they fought all along. But, cheaters love to re-write marital (relationship) history to justify their cheating. I'm  she isn't happy. |

I can see that. Maybe Josh was tailoring his career to fit Colleen's core audience. His vlog channel was rated PG. His songs were semi bubble gummy. This sounds crazy, but when Josh did one of those What's Up Internet and he and Chris played detectives interviewing that screaming unicorn girl, Josh's acting was over the top, but really so funny. I am NOT a fan of ANY characters from vlogs...Liza/Jet, Jason/Carmelita, Lilly/whoever Julien/Moc, Rebecca/Gladys(  ) but I always laughed at Josh's characters...Sarah and that British guy. Maybe now that he doesn't have to worry about the tweener minion murderers, he can do what he wants by branching out in his career. His first song should be: F you, California. |

And I watched the Thank You, California video for the first time and wtf, Coal! He writes songs about you and makes music videos about you - she was absolutely living as close to a fairytale as one could get. I know behind the scenes relationships and marriages can get messy but honestly it doesn't get any better than what Josh has to offer. She really screwed herself big time. I'm for Josh. He deserves so much more than her. She seems like a shitty life partner to have. All take and no give. |

I think she got comfortable with Josh, HBO took off and suddenly she decided she could do better. So she dumps him just before HBO premieres thinking it'll add some extra attention and then she'll also be a big celeb with a Netflix show and she'll have her pick of whoever she wants (including Erik) and it didn't quite work out as she thought it would!
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I just woke up from a codeine induced nap after watching Moana...( v good film btw)

I still think Josh would make an effing killing as a country music star. He has the face for it, the soul for it and I can picture him married on a homestead in Nashville with a gorgeous wife and a gaggle of kids.
I think Coal promised him, "later."
When HBO is over, we'll have kids. Later.
When the tour is over I'll spend time at home. Later.
When things calm down I'll settle down. Later.
Later never came. She probably changed her mind, thinking HBO was going to be some huge launch for her career and she didn't want him holding her back. But now it's over and it's not a huge success and she knows it, and she has nothing and no one. I'd feel sorry for her if she wasn't such an insufferable mean girl. She strung him along and now that the string is cut and burned she's realizing that she's got nothing left.
I don't think Josh was unmotivated or in a creative slump. I think he was just passing time waiting for the later she promised him.

Coming out of lurkdom to show you guys this video that came up in my YouTube recommendations. Skip ahead to the 4:15 mark. They're talking about the show Married At First Sight, and Colleen's thoughts are SO RELEVANT. She says that because the couples are married, they have to be mature and talk things out to fix their problems rather than running away from the issue. Funny how she didn't think that applied to her own marriage...

(lol jokes on you, Coal) In defense of colleen, Josh could be the most romantic person in the universe, but if you stop connecting, those romantic gestures start to feel like you're being smothered. Colleen had tours and hbo and her vids and I imagine the stress from all of that (which has always come first) plus josh pulling her the other way probably made her crack. In comes cool dude erik who totally gets thst work comes first as an actor and gives her the chase and some excitement and bye bye josh. The dust has settled now and I think she's realising that shes fucked up big time. Cool dude erik isnt around, she hates her job, has 0 time for her self, her family use her for vlogs, there are cracks in her friendship with kory and josh is moving on. |

I agree with this also, here's why. People here have said Josh doesn't follow through, but it seems that has mostly been since the divorce. That's common when one is depressed, you lose interest and motivation. Before the divorce, he did the Shadow tour to completion. He started WUI, and it kinda bombed so he was/is adjusting it. He was in the Cats Pajamas.. Yes, he quit, but he quit for Colleen. I think, as stated previously, that he has given up a lot of his own dreams for his career to obtain his family dreams. He has shown he can follow through, he vlogged every day for a year, as promised. I said before, I think when he lost his marriage he lost his whole identity. He's trying to figure out who and what he is, now that he's not Colleens Husband. |

Must admit, I kind of forgot how much Josh gave up for Colleen, and Colleen refused to give up for Josh...
when he went to do something for himself without Colleen they broke up, she realised she made a mistake and she got him back. It blew up in her face when she decided to divorce him though, because Josh couldn't forgive that. Coal knows she made the biggest mistake when she divorced him, it's evident every time she tries to 'spread happiness'. Her show is terrible, the numbers are declining, she's lost her creativity and her voice and she is lacking the energy to anything about it. She thinks the fans will always be there, but they won't. They are all leaving just like we did.
She needs to stop spreading happiness, take a good at look at herself and where it all went wrong. Take a breather from the internet, longer that the week (not even that long) she took after the divorce announcement.
She may have her dream job but she's miserable because she has no one to share it with. Everyone is getting on with their lives and she is stuck in an editing room being told that actually she has given up half the rights to a character she created to Netflix and has hardly any creative control as to how the show is going to be presented to the world.
Sorry for for the rant...

That video in New York where he said he wasn't her priority in the relationship and the minions went off on him (I think the day after he posted it) he liked a tweet @ing him saying "why can't they understand that she gave up on you once before already?" (And I can't remember the second half of the tweet)...I think this was the last straw for josh and I think he is really done with her this time. I hope so. I think he deserves better.

Even when he visited he acted really nervous about whether she'd even want to see him. I mean he could have just shown up anyway but I think that would have gone over very badly with Colleen. It's so fucked up how she was totally done with him but just keeping him around a few more months so she wouldn't look as bad when she got the divorce. Why do y'all think she dumped him right before the Haters premiere? I think it was to avoid all the press mentioning her husband Josh, or maybe some legal details where she wouldn't have to share the proceeds with him? She probably hoped new viewers who just found out out about her through Netflix or Fallon would never even realize she was ever married. |
