Looking at the fan pics, he doesn't seem very tall! neither of them do.

Rachel told me she thinks Julien is like 5'10" or 5'11". Isn't that what ya said girl? Idk he still looks very tall to me, or taller than I expected I guess

I'm about 6ft so I guess nothing's tall to me

You would tower over Collin LOL. I mean you saw my picture on Twitter right? I'm 5'10", just about the same height as Julien, and taller than Collin.

So I just wanted to recap Friday for anyone that might be interested, and put a perspective out there of why I think Julien (and Jenna) is so great and why I'm such a stan. This might be a little long but a lot happened LOL.

So Columbus airport is about two hours away, I got there about 45 minutes before their plane was scheduled to land. I went to baggage claim and found a small group of people already waiting. As we were talking more people kept filtering in, and we found out a small group was waiting up right by the security exit. The group was getting antsy as we saw on screen their plane had landed. I got nominated to go check the security exit where the other group was lol but when I rode the escalators up I could see them down the hall and right as I stepped off they erupted into screams so I was like okay the guys just got there hahaha. I turned right away to go down and let the baggage claim group know and about five minutes later the guys came down with that small group of girls in tow.

Everyone in baggage claim kind of excitedly squealed/cheered but also didn't want to make a scene. They both honestly looked shocked at how many people there were. Julien of course had the camera out. Then he waved at everyone and was like wow, hi guys. Then he sees me and goes "Hi Rachel!!" I died. LOL. Julien then said how about we set these bags down so we can do hugs and pictures yeah? So he starts the process of talking to everyone, hugging, doing pictures. Didn't rush anybody. Collin also took pictures and handed out waffsicle stickers. I talked to him first since more people swarmed Julien and I'd never met him before. He was really nice. I know he seems like a total doof sometimes but I could tell how genuinely touched he was at everyone being there, and I really do think he's actually much smarter than people probably give him credit for.

I kinda just sat down and watched Julien talking with everyone. I think I was the only one who'd met him before so I was fine hanging back and honestly it makes me happy watching people get to interact with him and just like...absorb the collective happiness from the group if that makes sense. Partway through suddenly Julien looks around and then sees me and was like Rachel we haven't taken a picture yet!!! I was like I know we will it's fine! I waited until the crowd dispersed a little then gave him and Collin the bag of chips I brought for their road trip snack to west Virginia (my friend in Boston who Julien also knows suggested it and said I should write "last minute chips" on them, they were very amused). I also gave Julien a pin I bought seriously in like January but never sent to the P.O. box cause it was so small and felt like such a silly thing to send for some reason. It's two otters holding hands. He was like this is so cool I've never seen this one before when looking up otter pins! I told him it was from a local artist where I live and he was like I guess that's why I haven't seen it, this is so cool, and thanked me.

We took our picture finally and he had his camera in his hand and asked if I wanted to record a clip for the vlog with him. I kinda balked at first and he was like you don't have to I just know it'll make Jenna really happy too to see you. I was like Julien does Jenna even really know who I am. (I mean I've met her twice and we tweet occasionally but the girl has millions of adoring fans ya know?) He looked at me like I was crazy and he was like "are you kidding me? Jenna loves you and misses you so much she loves reading your tweets." I seriously could have cried. So I did record a short clip with him but whether that ends up in a final cut IDK, I am pretty sure I'll look stupid as heck if it does cause that screen he has on top is really distracting and I'm just an awkward human LOL.

The guys spent about an hour in baggage claim making sure they talked to everyone. Then they said they needed to go pick up their rental car and stuff so people started leaving. I hung back for one last goodbye and just to say a couple things I didn't want to say in front of everyone, and don't want to share here LOL. But I did also ask Julien if he and Jenna will be at playlist dc (no) and then asked when the new #ad pins will be coming out (next Saturday). When I asked about the pins he goes, hold on a second and starts unzipping his suitcase. He pulled one of the #ad pins off an article of clothing from his bag and gave it to me! Just...so nice. Final hugs and goodbyes and sent them on their way and started the drive two hours back home at 11:15 PM LOL.

So...yeah that was a novel, but it was seriously so so so great. I felt so loved and special. So if there's any doubt in your head about whether Julien is a genuinely kind person, erase it. Like I've thought it all along, but this ironclad solidified it. He didn't have to show me the extraordinary kindness he did, but he did it anyways, because that's just who he is, I truly believe that. Yes I'm a stan, I will wear that badge so proudly. 💚💚💚

Julien and I were briefly talking about how I was in the "secret family" before there was the huge dink fam. Back when they used to get on ustream and just do (often drunk) livestreams basically LOL a group of us would consistently be on there and they were like you guys are like our secret family this is like our secret meetings. It's really kinda how the podcast was born cause they'd just talk and have these discussions and then decided they should film it. And in the early episodes they did ustream at the same time.

That girl Sarah that was murdered was part of those chats. I also met her at Buffer and just chatted with her as a fellow fan while waiting for Julien's panel, but didn't make the connection until he pointed it out in his video after she died. It's a horrible horrible story

seriously, I've been waiting for a Shane podcast as well. I know early on they had one with him but I need an updated one with conspiracy theories!!!

honestly they can be ill-researched, they're entertaining as hell. That's how I feel about most conspiracy theory bids anyway.

I think it's because I'm into that stuff so I hate it when he talks about things that are debunked ages ago. And the fact that his fans think he's going to die because he talks about things that have been said million times before him.
But I like watching them anyway, don't get me wrong, conspiracies when I need to sleep, eating videos when I'm on a diet.

oh yeah I see your point. There are ones that are obviously fake too or obviously outdated.

Just so this doesn't get too off topic- I think Jenna and julien would be able to reel him in and make it current if they did have him on a podcast.

You can see me waiting in the baggage claim at the airport but looks like that clip I recorded didn't make the vlog. I'm kinda disappointed tbh but knew it was possible. Would have been nice to have for memory's sake. I mean I guess maybe there's a small chance it could end up in the LMT episode but I wouldn't expect that since it doesn't really align with what they're doing. Got bumped in favor of another dink I believe...lol. It's fine. I probably would have looked dumb anyways hahaha. Hopefully Jenna saw it at least and it made her happy. Poor Julien is having to tip toe around his feelings and Jenna is like jumping down his throat. How she's borderline defending Jake Paul... Jenna, crazy fans have showed up at your house before to meet you. How can you say you "don't need to voice your opinion" when a delusional lady has shown up uninvited to your home. How do you not need to speak out? You certainly do! I'm disappointed. She's just getting so nasty with Julien. I don't even wanna finish this.

Agree on the Julien part.  I love Jenna, but there were a few parts where Julien couldn't get a word in and you could tell he was getting slightly irritated.

No like this time his irritation was ACTUALLY justified lol
