Maybe we were just really lucky, but that's the expectation I would have. My dog was the best.

yeah, if we have it closed, vince will wait for us or he'll barge in and get us to follow him. He just wont poop outside in the rain

I have a hunch it'll be tomorrow because tonight I'm on my couch with nothing to do, and tomorrow I'm busy the whole day.

Josh showed up to Julien's 24 hour live stream for a little bit. He was kind of out of place and I think he felt awkward. They were playing with H3H3 at the time so Julien couldn't really focus on him being there and Josh didn't understand the game they were playing as well as everyone else. Was kind of a bummer to see him go tbh.

Man fuck these youtubers with their empty promises. We sit around defending him and shit, and when we get a barrage of minions attacking us guess what, he doesn't defend us either. Can't put out any damn videos, keeps pushing back "projects", empty live stream promises. I'm so over these fucking youtubers and their shit work ethic at this point. Either deliver or don't. Stop dragging us all around.

Not sorry. Had to vent. This is bullshit.

I honestly just feel like everyone gives him the benefit of the doubt on everything constantly. He's not some little kid who had their heart broken for the first time, and I find it extremely manipulative that he makes promises so all eyes are on him, doesn't follow through then throws a fucking band-aid on it with a live stream.

I need to stop reading here, I had a dream that Josh got married. We were all there and the bride had dark shorter hair and a blue dress. Also, the ceremony was in my grandparents yard.

Damn I would have liked to see that. I got a notification that H3 went live on twitch last night, but I wasn't home and I was very confused as to why they went live twice in one day. If I would have known it was for Julien's 24 hr stream I would have watched 😩
I think its nice that Julien invited Josh over even though he was a little out of place. He should be honored to be with the meme masters Ethan and Hila (or was it just ethan? idk either way, still cool)

I guess I managed to make it home in time for the livestream.

I'm going to leave the full recap to someone else because I have to leave now, but I gotta say--I think he's being pretty mature in this livestream. I think it's smart to realize what's working and what's not. I personally think it would be in his best interest to move on from YouTube, which kind of sounds like which way he's leaning.

-He feels like his content has aged in terms of what is currently popular on YouTube. He references Jake and Logan Paul and the David Dobrik vlog squad's scripted vlogs and bits.
-He thinks he will lose his audience if he takes a break from YouTube.
-He misses performing. Misses his boy band.
-He actually said Colleen's name when talking about considering going on Big Brother (and then changing his mind).
-He reads the drama sites and doesn't want to just be a drama channel.

Legend! I watched for a hot minute but I can't watch really rn. I don't think he pays enough attention (even reading here) to what people want. Personally, PERSONALLY!! I don't care for the cover songs etc. I enjoy his vlogs and I think it's something he can improve on with help from people like julien. I wouldn't even want a drama channel. At this point the only time colleen should be brought up is if it's in context to whats happening. Not for views, but like he said, he can't expect people to care about y if he doesn't do x and he never does x.

So now he just said he's seeing all of the wilted roses. Was answering Twitter questions only, then answered a few from YouTube (he was not looking for a while because they were more negative than Twitter.) And he called out a commenter (not sure if I can say her name here) for saying "rude things about his real personal life" and that he was going to block her... And at that time, what she was commenting was "ERIKLEEN." He basically said the only truth he's going to say will be through his upcoming music.

Okay, I'm going to vent about that livestream for just a minute. So I get that YouTube is his career and he needs to make money. But he seemed skeptical of a lot of the supportive comments because even though the people who said them were being truthful, he doesn't see that what they're saying will make him money.

So I just feel like he can't act like he does YouTube only for views and money and then say at the end that he really, truly cares about his viewers. Cuz his actual viewers are still watching and if he were truly making content for them, it wouldn't matter whether his style of vlogging is popular or exploding right now. It would just matter that his genuine viewers enjoy it.

I feel like these YouTubers needs to acknowledge that YouTube is a career, and they don't really care for their viewers (most of whom they've never met). All of these false proclamations of love and affection kind of drive me bonkers.

I agree with you--to an extent--I think a LOT of Youtubers overblow their devotion towards their fans. It's disengenous, considering a lot of these fans are very young, and I've always disliked it. However, it's the same way that actors or athletes have fans because of what they do, but they're doing what they do because it's their job and what they're "good at." I think you can care about your fans, but if you're not successful at what you do anymore, you gotta move on. Those bills don't pay themselves.

I agree, but I also think - let's be real - Josh is not spending that much time on his YouTube. He could pursue other ventures and still do YouTube to the extent he is now, if he truly still enjoys it and the connection with his followers. I honestly got the vibe that he doesn't want to work that much in general. When people asked about auditions, he was kind of like, "Ugh, I did that already." Yes, dude, and if you want to be a performer, you kinda need to keep doing it. I got the vibe it's all just too much effort for him. I hope I perceived it wrong.

I imagine going from a job where you're meant to havr fun and relaxed all the time to actually having to work after so long must be a bit depressing though. The thing is, he doesn't have to if he puts a little work into it. Hes talking about quitting before hes even tried.

I would not be so hard on Josh (or give a shit in general honestly) if I didn't think he had a ton of potential. It's like, "C'mon, man! Please!"

Does Josh make money when he streams? I'd honestly be content if he just did that once a week. LMAO!

I got so excited when he asked for help with twitch and I guess nothing happening there either. Though i should be thankful because I can't support PUBG and I'm guessing he'd be playing that with julien.

You make a great point! I will admit that I sort of caught onto the Colleen/Josh stuff way later than a lot of people, so aside from the "Draw My Life" I saw from Josh, I don't have much evidence to support my thoughts--just identifying as a slightly lost older person trying to figure out purpose vs. responsibility vs. passion. But yeah, I don't know how much effort Josh or many YT people put in a day, but I know a lot of hard working folk who would happily take their life circumstances.

I guess I'm going off how often he posts and what he posts, but I can't imagine that requires much time or effort. I know he's also working on his music, but that doesn't seem constant either.

Erin manages to post two videos a week and have a full-time job. I think Josh could keep his YouTube on his once a week schedule and pursue other ventures (auditions, etc) too.

But I don't know, maybe it does take 40 hours a week to post a 3-7 minute one shot.
