Well it started with me and Coworker 1 talking about the weekend schedule because I usually work weekends but have this one off for family stuff. NO ONE wants to work weekends, but for whatever reason another coworker went to our boss about Coworker 1 wanting to see if a third person could come on since it's fathers day on Sunday. Our boss got mad at Coworker 1 for not telling her about a third person coming in, though Coworker 1 hadn't gotten the chance to speak with her yet. Well Coworker 2 overheard us and didn't seem too please that we were "gossiping" about the coworker who went to our boss. That's when it all went sour.
So I work retail and this my second summer at this job. The first hour is veryyyyy slow and Coworker 1 tells me she's going to restock something while it's slow and it's a small store so I knew where she'd be if I had a question. Well I'm making gift boxes so I go to the back to collect some stuff for them and Coworker 2 asks me where Coworker 1 is. I tell Coworker 2 that Coworker 1 is stocking (Meanwhile another coworker is outside in the garden not helping us at all). Our boss calls to check in on us in the morning and Coworker 2 picks it up. At some point she told our boss that Coworker 1 isn't helping me up front at all and that I'm having hard time. Our boss talks to Coworker 1 over the phone and tells her that she needs to help and me and Coworker 1 says that she was up front but was stocking and that I said I was fine. So coworker 2 lied to our boss that I was complaining about Coworker 1 not helping me.
Flash forward Coworker 1 goes outside to get something from one of our storage buildings and Coworker 2 comes up to me and tells me I should be careful not to get "sucked into" Coworker 1's gossiping because she supposedly gossips about everyone and our Boss is catching wind of it, she says she doesn't want me to get in trouble. I just say okay and continue working. Later when Coworker 1 and I are alone (with another coworker who was picking up their paycheck) I tell her what Coworker 2 said to me and both were shocked. The rest of the day Coworker 1 was quiet and afraid to say anything.
After work I texted my boss to clear up what Coworker 2 said earlier and my boss wants to talk to me next week when I come back. So now I just wait till Monday to talk to my boss.

Yeah spill smash, did it carry on twitter? No cause I work with older women  But Coworker 2 has been trying to sabotage Coworker 1 for awhile now. I think she's trying to get her fired. |

That's nasty and unfortunately happens in practically every job where there is more than 3 of you.
The trick is working out how to stay out of the shit. I've not worked it out after 27 years.

That's nasty and unfortunately happens in practically every job where there is more than 3 of you. The trick is working out how to stay out of the shit. I've not worked it out after 27 years. Doesn't help that it's all women too. I was staying out until Coworker 2 dragged me into it! Coworker 1 wasn't going to say anything to our boss so I decided to clear it up since I was technically being involved. |

I am a die hard backstreet boys fan. When they announced their Vegas residency my ass flew across the country to see it lol. And I want to go back!
