I somehow became a Hamilton obsessed person. I was a history major but didn't really think I would like it but I heard the opening song and I was hooked.

Yes! I adore Hamilton. I'm trying to find books about each "character" but books about John Laurens' are slim and the one I did find he's apparently written as straight.
Do you like Heathers or Legally Blonde?

I also really love how with Hamilton(I think Lin took this from RENT) the whole musical is told through verse and there are barely any points of talking. So with the soundtrack you get most of the story. Except that damn sad John Laurens' Interlude. </3

I think Lin is just a genius. I mean after that he did songs for Star Wars and Moana (and I am obsessed with that soundtrack too) |

Les Mis though man. I went to see it four times in theaters for the movie adaptation and we sobbed every time.
It's bad my love for some of these musicals.

I wish I knew more about theatre. I end up falling in love with most of what I see but I don't know enough about the actors or the stories behind the plays and I wish I did.

Oh yes my people!!! I also am obsessed with Lin and I couldn't stop listening to the Moana soundtrack after watching the movie. Also Hamilton is just great, I love history stuff so it just fits the bill for me.

Oooooo I loved Moana! I really liked Kubo (not really musical) but great Asian story telling movie! Sad, funny, cute, all the feels!
BTW, I love this site better it's so easy to hop around channel to channel and chat and lollygag!😊😍

I've seen Wicked live and it was the best moment of my life. I was awestruck the entire time. I'm also always singing showtunes, better than the shit music out today.

I saw Wicked in London with Rachel Tucker as the green witch beelzebub or whatever her name is. I only really liked the flying monkeys bit, suffice to say it's the only musical I've seen. I don't get why they have to sing so much  |

Musicals are my shit.
I haven't seen a whole lot live, but Hamilton is touring and coming to my city next year and I plan to go to that. My husband and I are also going to Book of Mormon in December.
One of our first dates was to Once and I sobbed the whole time (love the movie). My mom and I try to see them together as well, Lion King and Wicked are the ones we saw when I was in high school. She's obsessed with West Side Story so I want to take her to that next.
