I 100% think that Erik and Colleen are together, but I think that he's the one keeping it from going public because he knows it would be harmful to his career. He may not be much of anything right now, but he's obviously trying to become a successful actor, and having videos of him blasted all over the internet discussing the intricacies of his crazy girlfriend's bathroom breaks would not exactly help his "legit actor" image. I'd be willing to be that his management has explicitly instructed him to stay out of her videos as much as possible and to minimize any/all public connection with her outside of that within the realm of "Haters Back Off."

Just my two cents/best guess. But I think saying that they're keeping it private out of respect for Josh or because he's camera shy is giving them both too much credit. She obviously doesn't care about Josh's well-being, and someone who is painfully camera shy doesn't choose wannabe celeb as their career path.

Aint nothing wrong with that if she can find someone to cater to her, but if they split she's gonna get as much money as humanly possible from the Ballinger clan. Colleen may be horrible, but I'd rather be divorce from her than Jessica. THAT'S who the family should be afraid of.

You know what I jut realized Jessica reminds me of this crazy woman my uncle is with. They aren’t married (thank god) but she does do all this crazy and fucked up his credit, spent all his money, and turns their kids against him. It wasn’t until recently that my dad told us jut how crazy she was. So I could totally believe that Jessica is similar to her and if her and Chris ever divorced she make him pay hell for the rest of his life.

I have to agree. Chris loves that Jessica was his first kiss. There’s a sense of pride there. 

When your less famous sister puts out a "my thoughts when" video like you have for the past few videos and it turns out way less annoying and way better thought out than any of the shit you've done.. I actually really liked this video, and it was relatable.. unlike ANY of Colleen's videos like this.... Seeeee Colleen? The less you TRY to be more relatable to your audience the more you ARE. I'd actually like it if Rachel did videos like these a little more often. Who knew behind all the loud screeching to the camera was actually an interesting and funny person!

That was actually good.  I laughed out loud when she sneezed and Blaze jumped in her lap.  (She didn't have to force him to do anything for her video - See Colleen...If you're not a dick to your pet, they actually enjoy you and will enhance your videos instead of making you look psychotic.)  I definitely think Rachel is the least annoying Ballinger.

I liked this video too. I thought it was funny. I find her recent videos pretty good (don’t kill me). Rachel is the only Ballinger I like anymore. She tries to genuine and honest unlike her sister Colleen.

Rachel, in my opinion, is the most tolerable Ballinger. I'm not a die hard fan, but I watch her videos from time to time.

While I concede that Colleen's cringey and potentially embarassing, I think Erik knew what he was getting himself into. He must have done some research before signing on to do HBO. If he was really worried about how aligning himself with a crazy YouTuber would affect his career he probably wouldn't have done it. He probably wouldn't date a YouTuber if he thought it would be detrimental to his well-being. Also, I don't think Colleen would stay with someone who refuses to ever acknowledge their relationship. I think publicity has a lot to do with why they're taking their sweet time.

This is entirely random, but I was thinking about how I discovered Miranda. It was in the very beginning when she did a video with another small YT’er at the time (SupaDupaFlyGirl) you know how ‘Miranda’ was born in Tacoma, WA? Colleen has mentioned she has cousins there. I wonder if it’s a kind of dig at estranged or not-close family?

I saw a bunch of you guys trying to predict when Cruelleen will reveal her fairy tale relationship and it reminded me of Lisa Schwartz' recent video. As some of you know Lisa was Shane Dawson's ex girlfriend, when they broke up, they were quiet about it for months and months, then made videos of their own explaining the end of their relationship which received a LOT of backlash and exposure (similar to Josh and Colleen's divorce videos, but more genuine and honest). After that, most of the comments on Lisa's posts were begging her to get back together with Shane.

So, Lisa made a video a few weeks ago talking about how she was so anxious to ever talk about her personal life, confessing that she has been dating someone for over a year (pretty much the same time Erikleen became a thing ? ). She said the reason she didn't reveal this is because "My past relationship was wonderful but it took a toll on me especially towards the end. It's been tough. I was afraid you guys would keep comparing him (new boyfriend) to Shane. And its not healthy for me, him, or Shane" Yes, She mentioned the name of her ex, because she is a mature adult capable of emotions. She said she's slowly going to show him in her Vlogs. It was really awesome and genuine for her to just come clean about her feelings and thoughts regarding her viewers, knowing some of them will be hating. I wish Colleen would learn something from that. It's one thing to keep your personal life private, but when it comes to light, own the fuck up to it! If she really thinks she did not do anything wrong, why hide Erik?! Her minions already loathe Josh, enough time has passed. We all know she doesn't give a shit about Josh's feelings .. so why hide? She knows she's in the wrong and is afraid of people seeing right through her cheating ass.

Also, in that same video Lisa spoke about how she feels about the quality of her videos and that she didn't feel satisfied with it and the instances when her viewers did not like certain videos. She mentioned how she just wants to make videos she actually wants to do, and not feed into the pressure of her viewers, admitting she hasn't been doing that. The difference between her and Colleen is huge, all Colleen does is clickbait and videos that take 90 seconds to film, no effort, no entertainment. Just trash "content". I know Miranda is pathetic and agitating but back in the day, at least she counted as original, Miranda had a distinct personality and video styles of her own. That's what made her go viral. All Miranda is now, is Colleen in lipstick and a disturbing voice doing the same videos Colleen does on her personal channel: Farting, Burping, hating, being sassy guurrrrrl, and doing whatever's on the trending page on Youtube. #SaveMirandaSings

I'm petty and I've been waiting to bring this up. They moved, what.. fist week of June? That's almost 4 months ago. I moved literally across the country 1 month ago (almost exactly) our stuff arrived 10 days later. I am FULLY unpacked and done as of this last Monday. Granted, I don't have kids, but we have a room for my nephew and all of his stuff for when he visits. We have a shit ton of stuff. And I did it mostly alone because my husband works. She needs to get her shit together and make that house a home.

Honestly, looking back on videos it seemed like he was ALWAYS working for it. I don't doubt that he didn't mind because he seems like the kinda dude who likes doing that kind of thing, but it felt more like it was to get validation that she cared more than anything. Being the expert armchair psychologist that I am, I would guess that she liked him enough to want to be with him when she had an out at any time. I think that the relationship was exciting for her, they were like a power couple, they might have been together more than a lot of her friends relationships so that made her feel like they were doing the right thing, but when she accepted the engagement, reality set in and she didn't have an out anymore. Maybe she didn't know how to leave, maybe she subconsciously decided to wait until she had someone else.

As much as she presents herself as a teenage wallflower, I suspect she actually wasn't single as often as she claims (if at all).

Regarding Matt, he could never be a focus as he shuns the limelight. I think that's one thing the Ballingers wouldn't dare touch. Rachel wouldn't let it happen. But with that we prefer to show the same respect and not drag Matt into it since he's not a public figure, we don't want to be a part of people busting into his personal life.

She strikes me as the type of girl who vows to not have actual intercourse until marriage/serious relationship but will do anything but while still remaining technically a virgin. I never really thought of her playing the field while she was on a break from Josh until someone brought it up but I can see it. I'm definitely not slut-shaming her or calling her a whore but I don't think she was/is as chaste and virtuous as she'd like people to believe.

Yeah, I get the feeling Lisa's beau is more Matt-like, though. He doesn't seem to really like being on camera. I was curious because there was another guy I thought Lisa was dating -- and I don't say secretly with her, but behind-the-scenes. Colleen, on the other hand, is full of secrets. Lisa is also self-deprecating, but doesn't (or at least doesn't include), tons of fussing over her looks in the viewfinder that Colleen does.  She's also better at keeping things low key and not being click-bait-y. I think she's just way more mature and not a narcissist. She was very funny in her parody videos (like her 'shake it off' one -- that totally worked).

I sense she's just as insecure, or at least is insecure, but she never begs for the adoration Colleen does. Seriously, think about it Everyone told her that her longtime boyfriend was gay, (and that's the subject of the aforementioned parody) and she probably knew it, but had been committed to him since she'd been with him a long time and just didn't want to believe it. There's a video Shane did where he pranks her. He hides the camera and tells her he wants to break up and her reaction is so heartbreaking. He quickly fesses up it's a video, but you can see that she was always way more into him and had convinced herself he's not gay (I know he keeps saying he's "bi" and maybe he is, but he's so much more comfortable and happy being with Ryland).

Lisa could've been very bitter about being Shane's beard (seriously she really kind of was) but she stayed friends with him. I'm for her she has a new boyfriend. Hope she figures a way to be on YouTube (sounds like she is very affected by the changes) because there's a lot I like about her (I swear like a sailor, but she seemed to be overdoing it initially and now she seems much more relaxed).

I agree with you that doing something like this would really make Colleen seem a lot mature, and if she had done it earlier on, would have probably quelled a lot of the hate she is getting right now.  You're probably right that she does know she is in the wrong, but from my perspective (and I know some might not agree) her coming out with a video admitting the truth and shut people like me up, even if it involved cheating. It would be a lot better than what she is doing now and at show she could own up to her mistakes.  It would quiet down the gossip since everything would be out there and we wouldn't have to speculate so much.

I really was giving her the benefit of the doubt and did not think she cheated up until the recent Hawaii pictures unfolded, but all the hiding and secrecy makes me think - well, if she could hide a whole VACATION with Erik from her rabid fanbase, then why wouldn't she be capable of hiding him from Josh, who saw her in the most positive light and doesn't really seem like the type to snoop on her every move. AND now, all these Erik slip ups keep coming out and she continues to just respond with defensiveness and more cover ups, which makes me think she isn't interested in learning from her mistakes.

Not saying that cheating is defensible, I understand that many would not forgive her as I have broken a friendship with a person who have cheated on their SO and involved me in their deception, because I don't feel comfortable lying to others and it made me question that friend's character. BUT, if she gave us the truth, I probably would have moved on months ago.  The only reason someone like me (a casual fan of Josh/Colleen's vlogs) goes to these message boards is because there is so much speculation and reading the gossip kills time.  I'm sure there are more dedicated fans who would have forgiven her, and people like me who wouldn't have joined the boards at all if she was just honest.  Instead she just keeps going on with the lying and deception.

Colleen, if you are reading this, COME CLEAN. I know it sucks to read shitty things about yourself, but it's not gonna help you to address "hate" and "rumors" when you WON'T NAME WHAT THE RUMOR IS.  If everyone is truly incorrect, then correct us!

Honestly, I feel this way about Josh, too.  It frustrates me that he alludes to betrayal~ and disloyalty~ but doesn't name what happened.  I feel like it's a tactic to get more views and is frankly irresponsible, because then people can come up with any theory they want and use his words to support it, without him having to get his hands dirty. Not sure if he is still planning on releasing his EP, but if he just alludes to more disloyalty without spilling any real information then he's just as guilty, too.  Unless Colleen is actually threatening him legally, in which case he should get a lawyer and man up.  NDAs are notoriously difficult to enforce anyway.

Point is - Josh and Colleen, if you don't like what is being said about you, then either address it or move on.  Both of them obviously aren't over the divorce (Colleen may be over Josh but she's still in denial that she's a divorced person, and it's probably fucking with her worldview and what she thought of herself) and should have taken a longer hiatus and gone through serious therapy before ever trying to pursue a career in the public again.

I think Josh has been reluctant to go scorched earth on Colleen because he might still be hoping for a reconciliation someday. AND, he might still love part of her family and he knows blood is thicker than water and he wants to save any good will they might have toward him. (If any.)

I don't know. It probably isn't easy to come right out and admit your wife cheated on you. Probably like so many betrayed partners, Josh didn't want to believe what he was seeing and he was probably dying to believe the lies I'm sure Colleen was telling him.

I saw a couple of his old vlogs recently and it really is sad. He was good at vlogging. His edits were cute and he was charming.

I just hope the songs he is releasing aren't pleas to Colleen.

I still say he needs to write/perform a song called "F You,California."
