I've been letting it go atm because there is still plenty of colleen stuff mixed in, however if you find that it's a bit too much in the future, you're welcome to message myself, smash or any of the mods and we can give people a gentle reminder

I don't mind a bit of Josh chat in the Colleen thread as they are unfortunately linked and I'm not a fan of going to the Josh thread as I've not got much to say on him, but the chatter about where people live became a bit much. Don't like to be rude but I've no interest in where people live or what the town is like. Like gossipinglizard said, I come here to gossip about Colleen.

I think the chat feature is supposed to being working too so if you guys ever want to talk about something with someone specific that's off topic you have that too!

I personally don't mind a bit off off topic chatter in the colleen thread, I am not interested in where people live either but it's so easy to just scroll past boring posts. I like the laid back vibe of this place and the community feel, it's what a lot of people including myself wanted after the dictatorship of the bakery.

I find it FAR FAR more unpleasant and annoying to have to read the posts bitching and sniping every 5 minutes because the thread has gone temporarily off topic - that is more annoying that the OT chit chat itself. I feel like the colleen thread has just the right balance at the moment and the only fly in the ointment are the people who look like they are complaining for the sake of complaining and its petty, imo.

Agree and I feel the same as you.

Even though work is normal and not too bad, I'm still super anxious about it (to the point of tears at times) and have started having nightmares about it now, so that's fun (not..) I'm hoping as time goes on I'll get more and more comfortable and feel less anxious about it, but right now it just sucks. I feel like a big ol' baby about all of this.

If you're throwing shade at me for this, I never posted in the Colleen thread about the OT stuff, in fact nobody "bitched or sniped every 5 minutes", GossipingLizard mentioned it once in the Colleen thread. I commented on Lizard's post in the venting thread and then posted in the site discussion thread as suggested by Tuskvegas to be discussed.

but I get the point, Lizard and me are in the minority. However I wasn't "complaining for the sake of complaining" I login in here twice a day, once before bed and once before work. I don't have all the time in the world to read everything on here. There was 9 pages to catchup on one night and 3-4 of those were just idle chatter.  I'm a member of many forums and it's pretty standard to be asked to stay on topic so I'm confused as to why it's such an issue here.  But whatevs.

Just dropping in here to say that it's 5 am here in California and I've been up since 4:30 for no discernible reason 😭 Whyyyy can't I have just one normal nights sleep???

 I want in on this.  I'm not an insomniac but my dog would like for me to be one.  She wakes me up in the middle of the night for funsies.  It is helpful when Josh uploads in the middle of the night... but It's not helpful when I have to go to work and actually function as an adult human being.
