Ok guys, hello, hellooooo. I am delurking. I used to post over at the bakery and then things got hectic (on the site and in my actual life lol) so I stopped posting, but would still read on my lunch breaks. I came over here when the link got posted on the bakery thread and continued to come and read the Colleen/Josh goss.
So I am 25 and live near Melbourne, Australia. I am a mummy to 3 fur babies- 1 cat and 2 dogs- one is a long haired chihuahua and the other is a Pekingese cross papillon.
I work full time and am also studying part time for my Bachelor of Psychology 👍
Not sure whether I have much of value to contribute but I have enjoyed reading here and hoping I can start posting again!

I'd love to be able to do that but not going to lie, I have only just started my degree so I am definitely not well enough informed/educated as of yet!! Sorry to disappoint! Haha.

Hi! Just wanted to join in on the introductions. I'm 23 and from Alabama, but currently living in Utah for my husband's miltary obligations. I am a student graduating soon with a bachelors in Chemistry. I mostly lurk, but occasionally will say something if it has not already been said. I used to love Miranda. I was a big fan in 2009. You know, back when people didn't know if Miranda was a character or not. Through the years I kind of stopped watching, but started back about 2013 when my little sister (11 at the time) was obsessed with her. She is now 15 and feels the same way I do about her. We always thought it was odd how she didn't care how ugly she appeared as Miranda, but had to look perfect as Colleen. We also didn't like how she was always eluding to how skinny she was. And she was always putting Southerners down.. We didn't really start disliking her until a couple of months after the wedding. Then the divorce happened and well.. the dislike for her is unreal. My sister and I actually met her in Feb. of 2015 at a shopping mall. I will post the pic, but I am going to cover my face. 🙃 I'm slightly embarrassed by this pic now, but thankfully it was free. I love the garden, by the way! Thanks for this awesome place to gossip!

Didn't know what a youtube channel is until someone showed me Jenna M. in 2011. I thought youtube is just music and cat-videos

I found GG recently when I was searching on some gossip about Melissa Merk. It turned out no one really wants to talk about her so I stayed because of the other youtubers. I was bored one day and started reading the Colleen thread so I went to the GB etc.

Hiiii. I'm in my 30s, grew up in Laguna Beach, CA, floated around various parts of So. CA for school, namely LA and Santa Barbara, and now back in good ole Orange County working for da man.

I love gossip sites bc it's a form of escapism from the heaviness and bullshit of life. it's always a pleasure to snark on these YT clowns with like-minded individuals.

I was on GG to talk ish about beauty gurus initially, then happened upon Colleen in an Ingrid nilsen video where she dressed up as Miranda. I couldn't stand Miranda for even a millisecond, so I started watching psycho and josh. And now here i am...a budding sprout at the garden...

I'm an aspiring dog parent lol. Both me and my bf are chicken shit about biting the bullet because of the responsibility and commitment of taking one on. I want a Westie, beagle (my first love), a schnauzer, or a corgi. I do kinda feel like an asshole knowing I should probably adopt a mutt at the pound. I tend to love disheveled looking dogs that resemble grumpy old Scottish grandpas. Hah

What else...I'm a perpetual insomniac, super passionate about music, traveling, making jewelry, playing games, and am a total foodie. I live to eat. Consequently, I work out. A lot. I've been to most places on my bucket list, but lately I have an intense hankering to go to the U.K. and Australia. I'm happy to know I'm in the company of some natives.

Me too!! I live about 50 minutes from Melbourne, which is the food capital of Australia (any Aussies who disagree, come at me 😜😝 haha jk) My hubby and I will go there on weekends just to eat lol.

Rub it in that you live in Melb you lucky ducky 😝 Haha. I'm in Geelong so it's not far to go and there are some nice places to eat here too but it's got nothing on Melbourne.

I used to lurk and (very) occasionally post on Gossip Guru. I was very interested to see if others felt similarly regarding the YouTubers I watch. I'm old but enjoy (mostly) watching YouTube.My now 20-year-old son watched it in middle school but I only started watching in the last four/five years.

I sporadically watch all the Ballinger-related Tubers and I'm currently going through a phase where I am over Colleen. I was most recently annoyed when she went on and on and on and on that she had to go back to BC after the 4th...how sad and lonely she was...only to reveal minutes later (at the vlog's end) that she was heading back to L.A. that night!

She never used to irritate me but in the last 1.5 yrs I've been very turned off. I absolutely LOATHE the high-pitched screech she does and when I tried to mention it on one of her videos (to -- for all that was good and holy -- stop it), I was told I was rude, even though I feel I really "couched" my (gasp!) criticism. It is just so cringe-y, and it makes me crazy.

Oh, Colleen is skinny. And if you didn't know, she can wear toddler-sized, even baby clothing. Pants she is gifted are too big. I went to her 2015 Holiday Show. It wasn't very good (and was not unlike Miranda's backyard productions) and I was ridiculously too old to be there. For a long time, I sympathized with her because she was so talented and carrying so many people, family members and friends. I initially thought Josh was just super lucky he found Colleen, and expected the split because of the many, many signs most of you noticed long ago. Now, even though I still feel he is a doof, I find him very sincere, accessible and credible, and I can say I look forward to his vlogs.

That said, the one YouTuber I watch "religiously" is LeighannSays and I really watch her vlogs. I'm not really the audience for her other channel. Oh, and I always watch Dr. Sandra Lee. The first YouTuber I watched was Grav3yard Girl because she did a review of some appliance I did a search on. I will still watch her once in a while. I sporadically watch Jenna (but always when Cermet, Paesh and Marples are on), Kory, Julien, Rachel, Shane, Drew (for some reason, I find him extremely amusing and am sad he posts so infrequently), Today I Found Out, The Great War, Only Human, Caleigh Elise, Cinema Sins, AltShiftX, Emergency Awesome (but only the GOT vids), the Gabbie Show (I met her at the Century City Mall and she was incredibly sweet), Joe2 the Capybara, and always watch clips from Stephen Colbert (I guess he shouldn't be included since he's not a YouTuber, but I adore him).

What else? "Haters Back Off" is really not very good . I really wish she had gotten a professional TV comedy writer to work with her. She's actually very clever and quick (as demonstrated by her appearances with Seinfeld, The Tonight Show, The View), but having she and Christopher write and be responsible for the entire series was a mistake. He hasn't had enough life experience to be in the position he was in on the show. The series lacked a real arc, character development and was way, way too focused on the "Uncle" -- it just wasn't funny.

I do think it's interesting that she was so close to Frannie, but she made little more than a cameo in any of Colleen's videos this time around. I could go on and on (can't you tell?), but I'll stop now.

Thought I should contribute and also introduce myself. Just read this whole thread and it's nice to read where everyone is from.

I'm 31, Aussie (from Brisbane) and currently live in Vancouver, BC. Have lived in Vancouver on and off since 2013 - with 10 months back in Australia in 2015. My current work permit expires in October and I'm now trying to apply for permanent residency as I'm not ready to leave.

After reading about everyone else's experience with watching YouTube, I was trying to think about how I first got into it. I only really started watching it in 2012/2013 after seeing Felicia Day at Supanova (comic convention) and she was talking about her web series The Guild. I binge watched that and eventually subscribed to Geek and Sundry her channel. At that time they had different people talking about nerd stuff and one of the guys mentioned he had his own channel. Somehow this led me to Shep689 and other YouTubers. When I got to Canada, I didn't have a TV so YouTube was my entertainment. I ended up watching Shep689 pretty regularly when they did their daily vlogging. I actually don't remember how I got onto Colleen and Joshua but it might have been a suggested video. I watched a lot of YouTube in 2013/2014!

I actually only really enjoyed watching Colleen and Joshua's channel as I remember seeing Miranda years ago and thought she was real. So I think I just started watching their vlogs too due to not having a TV. Fast forward to 2016 when I thought it was really strange that Joshua didn't come to Vancouver with her. Around the time of their divorce I did wonder if something was going on. The comment that got me was about her anger at Shadow pooping in the house (yet now she thinks it's hilarious to cut the poop from Gus' behind and vlogs about it??). I wasn't too surprised when they split, but I never really thought too much about it until a couple of months ago when, out of curiosity, I googled "Is Colleen Ballinger a bitch?". It took me to the Bakery but probably within the week I discovered it, that thread closed down and I followed the link here.

Honestly, I still didn't think she was too bad but after seeing what you all write, I totally see it now. Now I enjoy "hate watching"!

Figured I'd introduce myself after some long term lurking and sparing posts.
I'm a freshly 20 yr old stay at home mum to a 5 month old boy. I live in Sydney, Australia.
I read everything but rarely post as my son takes up 90% of my time, the other 10% spent trying to sleep, eat, pee in peace, shower, and do all the house work on my list.

I actually went to one of Miranda's shows in Sydney when I was 18 and in my last year of school, my friend heard me quote Miranda and bought us VIP meet n greet tickets as a surprise.
Went in full Miranda gear, lipstick and everything, even those stupid bobby pins that she has jammed in her hair.
I untagged myself in the photos posted of the meet and greet but it pops up on my memories every year and haunts me.

I started really disliking her after a while of being a semi-casual fan because I found her content so vacuous, repetitive, and in the case of the "uncle" running joke, I found it extremely disturbing that implied sexual abuse was being used as a gag.

I used to adore colleens personal channel but since the divorce I sort of stopped watching both colleen and josh. I never liked miranda. She was too annoying for me lol. Now I have been blessed with this gossip board to procrastinate on and learn more about the evils of the Ballinger clan(excluding the kids I think they are kinda cute tbh)

Yes! Honestly summer was a little bit boring in the beginning while looking for a job but I eventually found this site... where all the juicy details have been exposed 

Also!! When I met Coal I also met Josh and this sounds really creepy but he smells so good? He was so nice and down to earth but Rachel and Coal seemed so frenetic even after the majority of fans had left and things calmed down. I remember lurking GG not long after because something just seemed so off about them, I couldn't put my finger on it, on top of growing sick of the Miranda schtick.
