I agree that Josh was good for her career-wise and with him gone she's doing the "lonely, single AF weird cat lady" shtick and that's getting kinda tired. It's harsh, but she's just not that interesting to watch on her own. I feel like she's not gonna come up with a new plan but is just going to keep doing the same old thing and whipping a dead horse until she ends up in obscurity.

Yeah, I second this. For Colleen and Josh both, their moneymaker was their relationship and the interactions they had with each other. Josh seems to be struggling a bit, but he isn't clawing to stay relevant on YouTube. He knows there are other opportunities out there for him.
For Colleen, I don't think she sees any other avenues. Sure she could go on auditions but her acting skills are only good for either theatre or some sort of Nickelodeon show. That being said, after a decade of being her own boss and calling the shots, I don't think working for it under someone else is even on her radar. She wouldn't survive in the environment. So YouTube is really her only option because she doesn't have the material to branch out into Podcasts or doing any real writing. All she can write about is Miranda and even that is mediocre at best. Shes clung so hard to this one character that she watched the last 10 years fly by without branching out and now she's feeling the pressure. I don't know what the future holds for her.

I totally agree. You know when you grew up watching some super popular show (like Power Rangers or some sitcom) and then you see those same people whose relevance died out when the show ended try to act like they're still famous? That's going to be Colleen. And those actors that do that, it's just sad. You know like at certain comic cons or even on twitter or something, they act like they're still better than everyone and super famous. But it's like, bro you played this one character in this one show that was on in 1987. Chill.

But I can see the Queent doing that. Or trying to use her fame to leverage for sad parts on shows. Like when they bring on an adult for a kids program but the adult is supposed to appeal to parents in the audience. Idk just my rambled mess of a thought.

Sorry for the double post but I had another thought regarding Colleen's career.
It's obviously no secret that YouTube and their partners are having a lot of disagreements and issues. I worry for Colleen that something will happen to YouTube in a similar way that Vine went down. Creators on Vine blew up and became wildly popular and successful, but the platform itself kind of fell into obscurity after a while. So all of the top Viners transitioned over and flooded YouTube with fresh, young, new talent pushing the original "stars" like Colleen off to the sidelines. However, a lot of "older" YouTubers took the opportunity to branch out unlike Colleen.
What I'm saying is, for HER sake I worry that a new and improved platform will manifest and overshadow YouTube. So the ones on top like Liza & crew will transition but less relevant creators like Colleen will be left in the remains of what would be left of YouTube.
It's depressing to think about, and she HAS to be well aware of it. She's kind of screwed herself.

Exactly! For example shane dawson has been very open with the fact that he knows he won't be doing youtube all the time like he is now when he's like 35. He just announced a few days ago on twitter that he is getting a show for "It gets worse" next year....and I think he said it's NOT gonna Be on Netflix or youtube red...I really wish joshua and Colleen stuck with their real carreers and did youtube on the side. (And I hope josh comes back to it and does youtube on the side and goes back to New York and starts acting and stuff again) 
That is why I really respect youtubers who have real jobs outside of youtube.

Yes! Like Simply Nailogical, I'm pretty sure she works for the government in Canada doesn't she? I'm not sure how it works in Canada but here in the US government employees get great health benefits and pensions and things like that so you'd be a complete idiot to give that up for something that you can still do successfully on the side. Cristine is really popular and successful and she manages to do both - AND she sells products and merch too! She will have a nice cushy life thanks to good decision making.
Colleen, however, should've been spending the past decade on expanding her horizons. New characters? Different show ideas? Keeping up with vocal training? Learning to ACTUALLY play new instruments? Making connections in NYC Broadway circles or Hollywood? She's wasted so much damn time and expended all of this energy on Miranda that it actually makes me mad lol.

I don't have Netflix or really watch many TV series (short attention span/news junkie) but there are shows I know about because of the buzz like Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things etc.

Outside of the Colleen/Miranda bubble and that weird press tour last year, I've never heard a word about Haters Back Off. Even last week, on Kelly and Ryan, they only mentioned it as an afterthought.

My prediction is that 5 years from now, Josh will have more sustained success than Colleen.

And, it must burn Colleen up that Rebecca's channel is getting so many views now.

She's stuck so far up her own ass. Looked at her twitter, Ruby Tuesday family night magician Chris and Mrs Crabs and raging Rachel's Twitter and not a single of of them said a word about the events in Charlottesville this weekend. Every other youtube I follow said SOMETHING. They have no life outside of their tiny bollinger bubble. It's pathetic.

I think it's the end of the road for Colleen. She had a successful, almost decade-long YouTube career and that's nothing to sneeze at but it was never gonna last forever. She has her die-hard fans (for now) but her popularity is taking a nosedive and it would be wise of her to bow out gracefully with her dignity (if she has any left) intact.

Yeah I think if she drags it on much further it's going to get ugly. She went from the occasional "I look like a toe today" or "look at my giant forehead" to completely tearing herself to shreds. Her looks, talent, weight, ability to dress herself, etc. It's like she's in self-destruct mode or something.
If even your "haters" are concerned, it may be time to step back a bit.
She went from being surrounded by desperate fan girls to turning into one herself and when I look at her I just see a lost pre-teen in a 30 year olds body.

She talks about the fact that Coal texts her "all the time" and that she wishes Coal were a lesbian because she thinks they'd made a perfect couple. Just an interesting tidbit that Coal is keeping that "friendship" alive with frequent texts. Also makes sense that Coal just tweeted about Trish, especially with so much attention on her at this moment surrounding the Celebrity Big Brother drama.

As far as her YouTube career, I don't get why people are suggesting she quit. It's not like she's had a Blair/Elle Fowler style fall off. Yeah Coal might not be Liza or Jake, but she's still hitting 1 million views frequently. Jenna averages a little over a million nowadays and nobody is telling her to quit.

Trisha seems like one of the few YouTubers who genuinely likes and supports Colleen, and it seems to be mutual. I mean, how many YouTubers do you think Colleen regularly texts? Most of her interractions with other YT'ers are just her giving them shoutouts and begging for collabs on twitter

Ho-ly. Shit. I haven't looked at Rebecca's channel in the last year (probably longer) and I had no idea she would become so popular. The last time I paid attention to her channel, she was getting maybe 10k views. This is hilarious to me. Especially when back in the day people were wondering if Colleen thought that Rebecca was "stealing" her character schtick. Living well is truly the best revenge.

I love that Rebecca's channel exploded after the ratbeccagate happened. I don't think it's going to last long. I recently unsubbed because of all the clickbait, slime and musically content.

Alternate Theory: Colleen is home alone and throwing a small, sad birthday party for Gus.

I'm not a huge Rebecca fan, but I never liked how Colleen and even Rachel made Rebecca the butt of a lot of jokes. Rebecca seemed to have to play dumb around Colleen.

Josh always teased Rebecca too, but I have a feeling that was a brother-sister type teasing. Rebecca teased him back too.

I can't watch the slime videos or even most of Matt's videos, but I love Rebecca's gymnastics. Thank goodness she got rid of Gladys or Matilda or whoever the F that character was.

The same think happened to kalel after she split with Anthony from smosh. Word got around that she was a shitty person and people stopped collabing. Even colleen only did it once. Now colleen is being shunned

It would make sense seeing as Colleen only seems to do collabs with younger/newer YouTubers, maybe she's burned bridges with most people who came up around the same time as her.

That's what I've been thinking. People are also probably upset with her for how she's been behaving after the divorce and she just doesn't understand it. I'm sure they have easily picked up that she isn't really sad about the divorce and that all she cares about is fame and money. She doesn't understand that's the reason they stopped talking to her. That's when they probably decided that Colleen is not worth having as a friend and so they just dropped her. If she ever tries to make up with her former YouTube friends even after she gets exposed, it's definitely going to take a lot of guts for her to swallow up her ego and approach them.

The damage is already done so all she can do at this point is apologize for her behavior but people will never forget. I hope all these youtubers reach out and offer loads of support to josh after Colleen gets exposed one day. Even better, I want them to do it in front of Colleen. I'm sure they all agree that even though they were having problems and Colleen was the more popular one, Josh absolutely didn't deserve to be thrown under the bus and the way he was treated and still probably is.
